A lovely small wine bar with a good collection of wine from France and elsewhere with friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed an early evening drink in this bar on a cold and wet December evening as we explored Pau. Staff were able to talk knowledgeably about the wine they had and they were also able to recommend some great local places to eat.

We arrived in the middle of the lunch service, were escorted to a table and ordered escargot, a rare steak and dessert, and a glass of red wine. Escargot were done in a tomato sauce, very fresh and adorned with ham.The steak was tasty and cooked just perfect for me, with it being warm red on the inside. Very tender and a good portion. It was served with a lovely pepper sauce on the side It came with buttered potatoes and green beans. I had a chocolate mousse and my husband had creme brulee. Excellent all around.Friendly wait staff as well.

Now this is a wine bar and cellar...Open since Wednesday until saturday from 3 PM for the cellar and 6 PM for the bistrot.

A really interesting restaurant with excellent food, a big choice of wine and really friendly service. Definitely worth going to but go early or make a booking - we were there on a Monday evening and it was full by eight o'clock.
