Disclaimer. I am normally not a huge steak house person as I can cook a pretty good steak if I go to the butcher and buy some great meat. But I have been to some great steak houses in US where I had fantastic steaks but often the atmosphere is a bit dull. Some of the have felt like elegant chain food restaurants (as they have been parts of chains).I did hear very good things about Schlacterbörse from colleagues, who had been there, so when I was heading to Hamburg for a weekend of pampering, I reserved a table. Entering the restaurant, it was confirmed that this place really had personality and a quirky one. Giving my name we were asked to step behind the counter and then went down a stair and down into a smaller room where we got our table. The restaurant was almost a maze with lots of smaller rooms, which again did that it was not loud or anything even if the restaurant seemed completely full. And also, the atmosphere in general was great.Seeing the menu, it was clear that we would not have room for a starter even if there were some nice choices there. We settled on a glass of Cremant while we were deciding. I ordered a big T-bone and my girl friend had the lamb and we were both ecstatic when our meat arrived. It was really cooked to perfection and prime quality meat. The side dishes were really tasteful as well, where I really enjoyed the hash brown potatoes with bacon pieces while my girlfriend was a big fan of the mushrooms, but all 4 sides we got was really good. The winelist by glass was a bit boring as it just states the grapes but there was very good selection of bottles that were priced fairly. I would have preferred a German wine, but figured it was too light for steaks so went with an Italian super Tuscan. I was a bit disappointed when it arrived as it was way too warm and the restaurant was already hot. But the server was very nice in getting a wine bucket and soon it was at a good temperature and a match made in heaven. Overall we had a great night with great service, fine atmosphere and perfect food, so my best recommendation.

Being next to the hauptbanhhof in a typical tourist spot I did not expect much (despite good reviews on TripAdvisor), but I have to admit that the filet mignon was really well done (but rear or at least medium rear). If you like me have a couple of hours between trains in Hamburg then I definitely recommend Block House.

Not an exceptional location or interior, but waiting staff and food quality certainly was and that made our visit worth mentioning! Extremely friendly and knowledgeable waitress. Prices for appetizers reasonable, for main dishes rather high but still reasonable seen the quality that was provided. We had a very good time and experience here!

I had the pleasure to dine in Delta's Bistro during the Internorga 2018.Small but exquisite menu selection, very attentive service and great atmosphere.Food chosen was very nice presented, tasty and of very high quality.A highlight was the entertainment, performed by a Japanese singer, good song selection, including Yodeling.

Although we had made a reservation for a specific table when we arrived on time the table was already occupied. Service crew not interested to solve the situation nor any apologies. Fortunately there are other alternatives nearby.

Second visit at Meatery Bar & Restaurant. Very friendly reception. Ordered âBlutwurstâ as a starter with an IPA as I was very thirsty. Both excellent choices. The âBlutwurstâ came with potato purré and onion rings. Very posh taste. Nicely balanced and elegant. Try it!As main dish I had a dry aged T-Bone steak. The meat is short traveled. Order normally medium rare, but was advised to order medium last time, which I did this time as well. The meat is absolutely world class. Cross outside, rare and soft inside with a fantastic meat taste. 69 EUR. Service âDidiâ advised for a South African Cabernet Sauvignon in the glass coming at 12 EUR. Great choice as well. If you enjoy a good steak with some of the best service in Hamburg do yourself a favour and book this restaurant. Can recommend Estancia w/o any hesitation. We kick ourselves to finally making a point to visit this restaurant so late in our stay while in Hamburg. It was simply outstanding. The food is excellent and the service is 2nd to none. There are simply no faults, except maybe they can get busy, but that's what reservations are for. Vielen danke!
