Reviewed By domnicac590First of all is excellent because, I appreciated the family atmosphere of this hotel! Although I got up late after breakfast time, I was allowed to go into the restaurant and make a coffee and I would like to mention that I traveled a lot, and not even in the 5 * hotel I could not get a free coffee, but here you can always have coffee or a cappuccino, and a big plus at this hotel is that they have a kettle in their rooms.

Only 12 Kilometers far from the Autobahn „A 7 exit Seesen“ is it the perfect base for your holiday to explore the Harz with his fables and rumours around witches and dwarfs. The hotel has 20 Rooms 17 of them are 42 sqm appartements with one bed and livingroom. 3 Of them are 70 sqm appartements with two bedrooms and two bathrooms and one living room. Perfect for familys ore two couples. All oft hem have a terrasse or balkony. Featured with 32“ Flat TV, W-LAN, full equiped kitchen. The Sofas in the livingroom are useable for an bed couch.

Reviewed By wrlamb2011On a motorcycle tour in the Harz mountains and found this very nice apartment hotel. One bedroom, sitting room and kitchen diner with balcony. Very clean and nicely furnished. Family run, friendly with an extensive breakfast buffet. Very good value at 85 euros per night. Ideally located for some great biking roads.

B&B Orchidee is a small comfortable Bed and Breakfast in Altenau in the Harz in Germany. The B&B is housed in a hotel from the sixties. Every room has its own private bathroom, small but clean.The atmosphere is casual. We want to make our guests feel comfortable and at ease. The B&B is dogfriendly.

Reviewed By isabellanicole2016We spent three nights at Orchidee. Our room was on the third floor and we had a stunning view of the surroundings which put me in total relax mode. I could stare for quite some time through the window at the forest nearby or watch the snowflakes fall with a steaming cup of coffee from my room. The room was comfortable with plenty of heating options such as heating panels and electric blankets on our beds. There was always a log on the fireplace which kept everything warm and cosy downstairs. The hosts were friendly, knowledgeable and very hospitable. Breakfast was quite a selection and tasty. The walk to the nature park is not too far from the B&B and the signage that the park provided, was very organised as to which route to take. There are quite a few restaurants a few minutes away which are also very value for money.

Zwei Gründe sprachen für die Buchung dieser Unterkunft, als wir uns für eine Reise in den Harz entschieden: 1. Die frisch renovierten Zimmer sowie das Ambiente. 2. Das Frühstück, welches in anderen Bewertungsportalen ausdrücklich gelobt wurde. Was soll ich sagen. Unsere Erwartungen wurden übertroffen. Parkplatz direkt an der Unterkunft, sehr schöne renovierte Zimmer und das Frühstück ist wirklich mit viel Hingabe zusammengestellt und zubereitet! Die Auswahl ist ausgesprochen groß und stets frisch. Dazu krosse leckere Brötchen und die Eiergerichte suchen dazu Ihres Gleichen. Meine persönliche Empfehlung ist das Rührei mit einem Hauch Cayennepfeffer. Echt mega lecker. Dazu gab es an einzelnen Tagen sogar noch delikate Würstchen vom Schlachter. Ich habe täglich definitiv viel zu viel gefrühstückt, konnte aber schlicht nicht widerstehen. Die Abendkarte ist auf den ersten Blick sehr kurz, aber was soll ich sagen ... wir hatten am ersten Abend Schnitzel und Spareribs! Als Vorspeise wurde uns selbstgemachte Aioli mit Baguettebrot angeboten ... kleine Karte, aber oho ... auch hier ausgezeichnete Qualität! Am Wochenende (Freitag, Samstag) kommen auch Einheimische auf ein Bier oder was zu Essen vorbei. Das liegt sicherlich an den absolut fairen Preisen für Essen und Getränke, aber sicherlich auch an der wirklich herausragenden Gastfreundschaft! Die Stimmung war trotz Corona und der geltenden Hygienevorschriften ausgelassen, aber auch respektvoll. Musik und Stimmung haben uns auch in unserem direkt über dem Lokal liegenden Zimmer keineswegs gestört! In einem extra Raum kann man zudem Dart und Kicker spielen! An einigen Wochentagen ist die Lokalität nur für Hotelgäste geöffnet. Gerade durch Corona war die Anzahl der Gäste insgesamt überschaubar. Den Speisen und dem Service gab das aber keinen Abbruch ... ganz im Gegenteil. Unser Frühstückstisch war immer reich gefüllt. Auf Wunsch konnten wir sogar Abendessen bekommen und man zauberte uns leckere Speisen, auch außerhalb der üblichen Speisekarte! Besser geht es wirklich nicht! Wir kommen definitiv wieder! Als Empfehlung außerhalb der Unterkunft sei der 19-Lachter-Stollen im Ort empfohlen. Die Führungen sind für Jung und Alt richtig gut und im Vergleich zum Rammelsberg auch nicht so überteuert! Wer gerne wandert, sollte zudem den Bach hinter dem Freibad entlang den Weg zum Spiegelthaler Wasserfall nehmen. Landschaftlich wirklich sehr schön und einige Streckenabschnitte sind irgendwie feengleich verwunschene Orte.

It doesn't matter where you come from, what you ride, how long you've been riding, what your interests are and what language you speak. Bikers keep coming back to us because we really do know how look after them! We offer guided tours on request.
The Best Biker Hotel I've ever visited

Always a warm and friendly welcome whether it's your first visit or you have been many times. Excellent breakfasts will fill you up for a days riding around the fantastic Harz mountains roads. I can't recommend this hotel enough. If you haven't visited the area and you ride a bike you should, you won't be disappointed with the area or the hotel.

Reviewed By salmazeinelVilla Kassandra ist eine gemütliche Pension mit viel Platz draußen und gemütlichen Gemeinschaftsräumen. Bequeme Betten sorgen für guten Schlaf. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut. Die Pension liegt am Rand des Ortskerns. Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind fußläufig erreichbar. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen im Westharz.
