We tried 3-4 TripAdvisor recommended spots, all closed (mid-August in Spain in a non touristic spot..).At the end, we found Aizpuru, with few personnel due to August, but open.He struck us with his kindness from the beginning, preparing our table with a courtesy plate of Bellota ham, delicious.Food was good, wine also, and price very convenient (20â¬/each)Recommended

Some friend recommended us this place and they were completely right. Very nice people, very nice food, very friendly place, when we return to Bilbao our next trip we will absolutely come back to Edulis. They are pet friendly and have a big parking

Hemos disfrutado de una comida en este restaurante, un domingo con un menú de 24â¬.La calidad del producto estaba correcta y su preparación también pero lo que más nos ha gustado ha sido el trato de las personas que allà trabajan que han estado permanentemente pendientes de nosotros para facilitarnos al máximo nuestra estancia con niños en el local.Muy recomendable.

Descubrimos la fonda de casualidad y nos encantó!!!! Para empezar nos dejaron entrar con nuestro perro y ademas le ofrecieron un bebedero con agua, cosa que agradecemos enormemente todos los que viajamos con nuestra mascota. El lugar fantástico, una terraza muy agradable, la relación calidad precio estupenda y el trato que nos dieron fue genial, Seguro que si volvemos por aquà repetimos!!!!

I arranged for a round group table for 8 to celebrate my birthday. The setting was splendid with beautiful vistas all around given that the hotel restaurant is sited atop a hill with no interference from any surrounding buildings. The menu was previously agreed with the establishment and involved a three course lunch. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended and was highly commended for the excellent food and service and for the wonderful views across the mountains. The restaurant is well known and well established and has become a number one choice for weddings and the like. It is also a favourite of couples and those staying at the hotel and the surrounding local inhabitants. High recommendable for lunch or dinner. An excellent choice.

This little restaurant was recommended by a local, and after one or two not very good experiences of Spanish cuisine, the place impressed greatly. Ariotza was empty when we arrived, and we were welcomed enthusiastically by the young Basque waiter. With help from his few words of English and my limited Spanish, we chose from the fixed price menu, not expensive with a bottle of wine included in the price. I decided on the fish soup, but was unprepared when a full steaming toureen was put in front of me. It was very good, I pigged out on three small bowls full, which didn't leave much room for the next course. I'd chosen some kind of mystery fish, and that's all it was, a small flatfish on a large plate, but it was fresh and perfectly cooked. My wife chose roast chicken, which when it arrived turned out to be a whole small bird, which she said was just about the best she'd had, accompanied by a bowl of good chips. Not much room left, but dessert was some kind of creamy white custardy stuff, also most enjoyable. The bill when it arrived was remarkably modest too. If this place can keep up these standards, very well worth a visit.

On the road to Bakio o Bermeo,Bidebieta is the place to eat typical basque food at really competitive prices.Anything you ask is cooked with love and great quality.But "Almejas en salsa verde" are really delicious together with Txipirones or Merluza!

Got stuck in traffic in Bilbao and ended up driving through and found this little gem. Had the most wonderful Rioja with delicious starters then on waiters recommendation shared a huge rib of beef. It was seared in kitchen then finished by Ourselves at the table on a hot stone. Perfect finish to our break to Rioja

Es un comedor grande que está bien para comidas familiares grandes. Menú de 23,7⬠que incluÃa 2 entrantes para cada uno, plato principal, postre y bebida. Los entrantes: entremeses (jamón, chorizo, croqueta de carne, espárrago, ensaladilla rusa y langostino) y risotto de setas. De segundo varias carnes y pescados: besuguitos, merluza, magret de pato...Postres tradicionales. Buena atención, aunque el camarero en los postres se hizo bastante lÃo pero bueno, éramos muchos y fue comprensible.
