A work colleague suggested Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar when I was working in Boulder on my birthday. I had said I would like seafood and this was her first choice. It was a GREAT choice. Between quick service, attentive staff, food quality, and great setting I completely feel this was worth my trip. I do not always give 5-star reviews but Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar Boulder certainly deserve it. Price is a little higher than you might find elsewhere, but if you value the total experience then it is definitely worthwhile. They also gave me a card good for an appetizer on a future trip, signed by ALL the workers at the restaurant who were working that evening. I sincerely hope I can return to use it.

My wife and I were staying at the Hotel Boulderado and this restaurant is located inside/adjacent thereto. The hostess and waitress were very friendly and attentive. My wife got a Boulderado bowl- a healthy meal with quinoa and various veggies, including beets nd red peppers, etc, as well as an egg. My wife loved it. I ordered a spinach scramble- scrambled eggs with mushrooms, spinach, onions and goat cheese, as well as what I thought was going to be a small, side pancake but was a large pancake. I ate most of what I ordered and everything was great.

We ordered two of same dishAnd when we got the bill, they hadOver charged us for both items. When pointed out to the manager, all he said was let me adjust the price . Hardly an apology or question... as though itâs something that happens often and they got caught this time ? Didnât feel right so all I can say is ... always check your bill before paying .
