Found this place on Yelp! and decided to give it a try. As others mentioned it's a bit hidden off Northwestern Highway. Pull into the Guitar Center strip. Small place with a bar in front that was busy on a Saturday night. Live music was playing. The waitress was super friendly and attentive as was the busser and hostess. The cocktail menu lists a specialty of Martini cocktails along with a good variety of wines. Tried the lemon tree, and for someone that likes their drinks tart (think Margarita) it was very good. The food menu was small. But some good choices. Didn't try any apps, but the ceasar salad was good. We had the blackened salmon sandwich with fries and it was very good and filling. The fries are cooked to order. They came out Hot!The filet mignon with mashed potatoes and a side of gravy was really tasty. I also ordered grilled onions as an ad-on. Now the filet is not your standard cut of beef. I would say it was more a prime rib cut. The steak was cooked perfectly (med - rare and very pink inside). This steak was so tender. So deliciously tender it truly made your mouth water. A very good meal all around. Will definitely be back. And the music added to the ambiance. It's a nice restaurant and bar. Plenty of parking right outside.

I ate there yesterday along with 4 other friends- impromptu lunch that was late in the day. We were referred by a friend we had visited and it didn't disappoint.I ate the Molly Brown salad-- very good. Portion alert: I ordered the half salad and it was plenty! Make sure you order the truffle fries- they were hot with lots of seasonings and so tasty. My friends had the garbage salad and patty melts and they too were delicious I was told. My salad was $7.50 approx. The only two things that bothered me was that we sat in the back and the tavern itself is a bit dark. There were only two waitresses working and ours was a bit grumpy. They also offer outdoor seating.

Ate here on a Friday night and this place was hopping and full of people and activity.Burger and fries were huge and filling, and the ice cream bowls were the size of baking Mixing bowls. Huge ice cream deserts!Unique name adds to the appeal of a go to kind of place.Get the ice cream and share it!

I went to Griffin Claw last weekend and was so impressed. This is a restaurant with an on-site brewery. The selection of their beers was very good. There were about 20 listed on the menu, including wheat, IPA, lager, pilsner, stout and ciders. I had 2 flights (8 small glasses) and a burger and fries. Some of the beers were outstanding, and a some just OK. The burger was delicious and cooked to order. Seating is Oktoberfest style - lots of large tables and an outdoor section. It was a very relaxed setting. I will definitely return during our next visit to the Detroit area.

The menu is certainly limited. But the food is very reliable and very comforting after a long trip, or when you just want to grab a quick bite in the morning. It is certainly not a destination restaurant, but is better-than-average hotel food. The service was very good, and the room-service was very quick.

Although burgers are their speciality, they also do a good job with appetizers, drinks and salads. The toppings for burgers are limitless. The fries leave much to be desired, but become passable when eating late and /or while drinking. Servers are fast, efficient and friendly.
