I was out with a few of our sales reps who are local to the area and they insisted that we eat here. I got excited because local restaurants are always the best.This place is no exception! There's outdoor seating and indoor seating. The menu is simple enough but offers enough options for everyone. And the nachos are fantastic.Finally, the wait staff was very friendly and very efficient. Perfect for a business lunch. Yum!

Stopped in while walking round down town Charlotte. Had some of your typical Irish pub foods. Typical decor, loud with several TVs and a very prominent bar. We were hungry and wanted dinner. The Killian chicken was delicious, almost like chicken piccata (nice and crispy outside) with capers, garlicky green beans and mashed potatoes (which were just okay, nothing very special). The corn beef and cabbage was delicious, also served with a helping of the mashed potatoes. Prices and service were very good.

Average food, average service, and average atmosphere. Nice little neighborhood tavern with big city prices. I had their âTuesday Specialâ which was a tasty chicken sandwich on pita bread, with more bread then anything, but what there was inside was totally delicious. Believe the special was $8.75 with chips and normally $9.50 and of course fries were extra. My wife had fish that was so salty she couldnât finish it, had breading not been loaded with salt it looked to be very good fish. Like I said, my opinion a solid 3 all around, the best thing was it had handy parking and no wait.

The atmosphere of a sports bar with TVs everywhere. Extensive beer list. Custom cocktails were good. Mozzarella Stick and Fried Pickle appetizers were also good, but nothing out of the ordinary. Burgers and Philly Cheesesteaks were excellent. Baja Shrimp Tacos were disappointing. The shrimp were chopped instead of whole and not enough in the tacos. The chips and salsa side that came with it was quite generous but I would have preferred more shrimp. While in Charlotte for a quick weekend, my wife and I decided to beeline to Heist for dinner prior to returning home. Unfortunately, the website makes no delineation that there are two locations - one that evidently serves food whereas the other hosts food trucks. And, of course, our GPS sent us to the latter, where we were not interested in anything the food truck on site had to offer.Bottom line - I love their beer. I do not appreciate their confusing website or failure to differentiate between their two locations.

We met family here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Though it was crowded, we were seated quickly and enjoyed browsing through the menu while enjoying drinks and fresh, hot pretzels. We all enjoyed the food we ordered especially the pork schnitzel with German potato salad. the red cabbage is yummy. Grilled chicken sandwich with avocados and bacon & tomato were fabulous! The choices of the sausages was so nice, we ordered the bratwurst and it was yummy with the nice sides. After lunch we brought our drinks to sit outdoors under the umbrellas for shade while our little one played in the nice, soft bottom playground. Great for young families.

Have gone 2 days in a row and have not been disappointed. They do a great job smoking their meats. The St Louis ribs were tender and delicious. The garlic chicken wings were very good. The sautéed garlic mushrooms were tasty. A must try are the fried squash - excellent.

Visited an a Sunday evening with very few diners in the restaurant. We have been to all the bad daddyâs in N.C. and this is by far the worst ran. The appetizer was wrong, my wifeâs dish as wrong and the waitress didnât bother to stop by to ask if we wanted a 2nd beer until after our meal was finished. I gave an average score only because our server comped up for the appetizer. We sat and watched a male server stand at the register and rub the backs of 2 female wait staff. Hard to believe any business allows that go on these days but the manager was standing at the door flirting with another female server the whole time we were there. In a vacuum, Alexander Michael's is a good restaurant. Yet, considering it is rated the #11 of 2,000+ restaurants in Charlotte, I fail to see the allure.Eating with family, my children split the fettucine with marinara. The sauce was extremely oily for a marinara style sauce. I had a London Broil sandwich which, while okay, was somewhat dry. I think some sort of au jus would have made the sandwich 10x better. My wife ordered a burger which she thoroughly enjoyed. But, if we're rating a top end restaurant on the quality of its burger, what's the point?Perhaps the best part of the evening was the ambience. Given its reputation, one will most likely have to wait for a table. However, my wife and I ordered drinks and enjoyed the quaint neighborhood.

Came here for the ribs but they unfortunately sold out before we got there. But we sampled everything else and it was awesome. Especially the burnt ends. Canât wait to come back for the ribs. Great food. Great service from Twitty !!
