This was our first visit since Reverend Billy Graham passed away. My son and I wanted to stop and pay respects and see the gravesite. I have to say it is very beautiful. My family loves this ballpark, but not just for the ballgames. The ballpark is a beautiful fun venue for baseball, with an amazing view of the city skyline, good food and local beer. In addition, it is in a great location right next to Romare Bearden Park, a fun place to hang out and within walking distance of uptown's restaurants and bars.

Wonderful place easily able keep our 5 year old occupied for several hours. Story time at 10:30 was excellent, as were the educational computer games. Several interesting things to grab the kids attention and they were able to interact with other children. Nice for moms too. Free parking underground. Bonus is that it's next to City Market - fun for the adults too.

We attended Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus at the Booth Playhouse in the Blumenthal Center and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Ensconced in the architecturally spectacular Founders Hall, the Booth is cozy-intimate (434 seats) and a perfect venue for a performance like this. You can buy an adult beverage to enjoy while you are watching the performance.

Our Corvette Club had the privilege of visiting this amazing complex. The five modern buildings were arranged in a campus style setting with impeccable, manicured landscaping. We had a guided tour of Mr. Hendrick's car collection which is a must see experience and has to be arranged in advance. The car collection contained thirty-one 1967 Corvettes in every paint style for that year in addition to many other Corvettes and Camaros with a 001 VIN number. The displays and buildings maintained with extreme cleanliness and care. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. We were able to look into one of the garages and see the shop area. The museum is free and had a lot of NASCAR displays. There is also a gift shop in the museum with all kinds of NASCAR items for sale.

Freedom Park is like an oasis in the middle of Charlotte, away from the hustle and bustle of urban life. Large, well maintained grounds with a pond in the middle. It lies in the middle of the Little Sugar Creek Greenway, which provides the opportunity for a walk for 2 miles in either direction. I would say there are two main areas to the park. To the north their is a complex of baseball diamonds and soccer fields. To the sound the landscapes grounds with pond, picnic areas and open fields. Bustling and energetic on weekends. Really very nice.

We visited Charlotte and wanted to see a football game and chose to see the panthers play the saints. Great stadium and quite a variety of southern foods served at the stadium. The parking was a little tricky, but just plan on getting there a little early. The prices were very fair to the game as well. oh yea, the panthers won the game.

The permanent exhibit "From Cotton Fields to Skyscrapers" is incredibly interesting, and I learn something new every time I go through. The rotating exhibits are always worth touring, offering insights into historical events that are useful when considering current events. And the special programs, panel discussion, etc. are always incredibly well done.
