Beirao is located in Dommeldange and they are proposing a Portuguese cuisine. Their menu variates from different choices of meats, fishes and also vegetables dishes. The location is not a fancy one, decoration is rather simple and basic, their focus is driven on the quality and freshness of the food they are proposing. I opted for the grilled octopus to start followed by the grilled tuna with vegetables and rice. Portions are big and so are the sides, food is genuinely tasty, fresh and well grilled (the octopus was very tender), seasoned with only oil and a pinch of salt. The only small negative points were the spinach, they were certainly frozen and tasteless. Staff is warm, friendly and attentive. Prices are in line with the quality and the freshness of the products. I will certainly come back and I recommend this place if you like this type of cuisine.

This restaurant is well located, within a very nice scenery, with a garden terrace and with friendly staff. The organisation if the rooms is a bit awkward, but it's not important. And it has all the usual sides of a Portuguese place. However, concerning food purely, if this restaurant would serve fish dishes only, I think it would rate much higher. I am far from being convinced by the rest, except for desserts, usually very good. In conclusion: In my opinion, choose the place for a good cataplana or grilled fish, don't bother with pizzas, meat etc..

Being a portuguese restaurant, the place was full with portuguese people. So it had an authentic taste to it. However, the service was very chaotic and slow with waiters just randomly ignoring you. The food was ok, but we found it very oily. And the deserts were so sweet, that after 2 spoons you had to drink 1 liter of water. The size in the plate didn't really justify the price. For 26 euros I had 6 shrimps and some fries. A nice touch was the paella for 2 or more people. A table next to us ordered it and they seemed to enjoy it. The portuguese red wine was quite good. The wine list contained mostly portuguese sortiments. Overall, we felt it was an average restaurant experience.

Just the report of ONE small mistake given by Tripadvisor if you look for Fandango Restaurant: Location is NOT in Luxembourg-City, 20 route d'Arlon, but in WINDHOF (Koerich city government), 20 route d'Arlon, some 12 km out of Luxembourg-City... Eventhough Fandango pretends to be a spanish restaurant, it is, in fact more portuguese. Clean and beautiful ambiente, VERY nice and polite service - the food that we tried was ABSOLUTELY super ! To be recommanded !

My wife and I had lunch here on Wednesday 26th October 2016.We have passed by many times always saying "we must try that restaurant"You enter the restaurant through the bar. The decoration can be described as "interesting"We had the menu Steak Frites Salad. The service was friendly. The food was OK.We might not return!
