Where do I start with Obala? Not only are the views of the beach fantastic but this little gem is in close proximity to a multiplicity of hotels & apartments which makes it an easy an pleasant walk to & from dinner or lunch. The service I experienced was great, not only was the clock about to tick over for happy hour to end but the lovely waitress gave me drinks at happy hour price because I was only a few minutes over, now when youâre experiencing something as little as that, it makes a colossal difference to your dining experience. The food was delectable & the atmosphere was fantastic. If & when youâre in Coolangatta or Kirra Beach next, Obala is a must!

Not my normal reaction, the short story, unable to provide drinks from the menu,nil stock. Finally selected wine not available until manager miraculously found the wine by another name? Offered discount to compensate. The meals, Pizza 1 two returns before it came with Olives per Menu, Pizza 2 served twice with non existent or improperly cut slices. Staff were unable to identify which Pizza was which!The final insult, Bill included the first ordered wine that was nil stock,over $30 phoned after finding error reaction was luckily we can do a refund to your credit card.Could not recommend this restaurant all though once food was sorted it was Just OK.

After payment $15.00 for a sml pizza (picked up) found the base was hard & tasted like cardboard & with hardly any topping. Rang the staff who said that's the way it is, all quality controlled. After emailing the Manager, who kindly emailed me back & offered me another pizza & ask me when & who served me.I emailed back the answers to his questions. And have so far never heard back from them. No even the repolacement pizza which I wouldn't bother with, as I doubt the pizzas would improve.

Staying at the GC because my passport had expired and could not get on plane to Bali anyways delightful holiday still. Uber driver suggested this place and it did not disappoint. On arrival lovely waitress bought us cold water and then ordered a bottle of red. Entree of shared salad and focaccia then after a nice time between a meal the mains. One was fettuccine carbonara and the other was tomato gnocchi. Both were absolutely delicious. Really nice place for dinner. Great wine list great service. Would highly recommend

The food was authentic Italian (I should know, I'm an authentic Italian too!), service outstanding and my family and I had a wonderful evening. We have been coming to this restaurant for years. Always a good wholesome Italian meal. Nothing too fancy, BYO wine, good local vibe, friendly staff.Not sure what has happened recently, maybe a new owner or new staff but we had the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant!! We booked for outside, so when we arrived he saw that our table was the only reserved one outside, sat down and got attitude from the waiter from then on in. The waitress outside acted like it was a drama every time she had to come outside. We had to wave through the windows to get her attention to place our order, again to order a drink, She simply didn't want to come out in the cold. Basically rolls her eyes and gets another waitress to come out. Lovely Japanese waitress and lovely blonde haired waitress, the other waitress and waiter should be fired for how they treat guests.Took over half an hour for pizza bread, which is yummy BTW, then the Waiter almost smashed my plate slamming my pasta down in front of me. So rude.I have worked in hospitality all of my life and would never act in such a way, nor have I ever, ever experienced this kind rudeness from staff in any establishment throughout the world.We will never return on principal, even though we love the food. We will tell everyone we know to avoid at all costs as unfortunately two bad seeds can ruin the whole apple.

Ordering from an iPad is easy and you can keep track of your spend . Food and drinks delivered quickly and also has a good childrenâs menu . Our second visit did not disappoint. The service was great. The food really really good with lots of choice. The serving sizes too big but surely not a complaint for most people. All the staff were attentive and friendly and professional. The handmade cocktails fabulous.Iâm thrilled you had another great experience at Balboa Italian.
