The only thing that's not new is the view and that never gets old... A full renovation in 2014 sees everything brand new from the beds to the air conditioning, from the knives and forks to the car park and driveway.... It's all brand new. When you escape to Sandbox you will find yourself stunned by the beauty, tranquility and convenience of the beachfront location. Sandbox offers 8 beautiful absolute beachfront apartments ready for you to relax and enjoy all that the sunny Gold Coast has to offer. Soak up some sun and take in the ocean views.Use the complimentary cruiser bikes, helmets and bike locks to ride to the local cafes or other nearby beaches The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. Sandbox is located in the beautiful beach town of Tugun surrounded by beautiful cafes and boutiques. The perfect central location if you want to discover all the Gold Coast has to offer. Alternatively hideaway in your private sandbox for some serious R&R. If you surf then this is positioned between two of the worlds best iconic surf breaks (Snapper and Burleigh) with miles of beach and point breaks in between. If you swim and love the beach then there is a patrolled open water beachfront 50 meters away and a short walk will put you in the beautiful still water of Currumbin Creek. Playing with your children all day right on your doorstep with a private road between you and the white sand or simply relaxing with a good book overlooking the blue Pacific Ocean. Sand box is just minutes from the Coolangatta/Gold Coast airport and a short drive to some of the best attractions Queensland has to offer with Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary walking distance away and the theme parks with in 1/2 an hours drive. The location is outstanding The beds are comfortable The inside lounges are good Booking support and reception very good. The bad... The cutlery supplied is mismatched and very limited (ie. only 3 forks supplied for a stay of 6 people, plates & bowls limited) Pod coffee machine available, only 4 pods included (at very least supply 6-8) Supplied hairdryer faulty TV aerial very dodgy Big hole underneath the artificial grass in front of unit 2 (someone will get hurt) Outside chairs, falling apart, a serious danger, most will soon collapse and someone will be hurt (please replace asap!) Bottom line, would we stay here again, absolutely, the location is great, close to beach, surf clubs, shops. The owners just need to fix some what appear to be long standing issues.

Reviewed By Pauline OGreat host, tidy and friendly, directly on the beach and near shops. Clean big heated pool and spacious units to use. They are clean and tidily appointed with plenty of space and a full kitchen. The gardens are well maintained and its directly on a gorgeous beach.

Pelican Sands has a lap pool, spa, sauna, games room, gym and lift access. The bus stop is only 20m away, Gold Coast Airport 5 minutes away. Step off our back lawn directly onto the beach; entertain friends by the pool or in the BBQ area whilst watching the sunset. Pelican Sands is the perfect place for all occasions.

Our spacious apartments are Absolute Beachfront and we're located right on the golden stretches of Tugun beach, not far from the world famous surf break at Kirra on the Gold Coast, there are no roads to cross just step straight out onto the sand. All our apartments have ocean views and what better way to enjoy your breakfast than to sit on your balcony looking out to the ocean and watching the whales go by or maybe a enjoy a cocktail or wine on the balcony before heading off to the many restaurants in Tugun. We are only 5 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport (Coolangatta)and public transport is at our front door to take you to the theme parks and shopping centres. We have a swimming pool, half tennis court, kids games room, BBQ, lift, WiFi Internet, and secure parking. Everything is included in the apartments all you need to bring is your beach towel. We are also very close to John Flynn Hospital if you are needing to visit friends or relatives.

Reviewed By KellieG75We had an absolute beachfront apartment and it was stunning! It is right on the beach, the apartment had everything that we needed... and a view to die for! It was clean and modern. Management were helpful and friendly. We walked along the beach of a morning to the nearby cafes. Such a relaxing stay, we would definitely stay again.

I have stayed on the Gold Coast many times for surf carnivals but have never come across a more run down unit for over $210 per night. Carpet stairs broken with nails exposed. Dust so think it made you shiver. Broken fittings and fixtures. No working TV. Paint falling off walls. No intercom. Permanent rental domestics in front of our child.? We have named it the Crystal Meth Hotel. I have never put a review in my whole life. We tried to leave early and raise issues without success. CRYSTAL METH HOTEL.........We won’t be back.
