Misty Blue is a must stop for anyone making their way down to Guiuan, or the greater Eastern Samar area. You can expect the best service of your life while enjoying drinks in the beautiful saltwater pool or having a romantic dinner in one of the palapas overhanging the ocean. Greg, the owner, is an absolute gentleman and a wonderful person to just idly chat away the day with. They have now, more or less fully recovered from the typhoon and have added on several rooms for guests to stay. Accommodations are few and far in between in Guiuan and this is the only hotel I would recommend in town. It is the only place with decent service and the only spot where someone can really relax, given the pool and easy access to the sea.Greg will go out of his way to assure that everything you need is provided, whether that is a good deal on a private boat for some island hopping, or a backup generator when the power goes out (even if you are the only guest). Misty Blue offers great woodfire pizzas (as long as you aren't expecting Italian) the best breakfast in Guiuan (maybe the best in the Philippines) a full service bar and just an all around great time. I really can't say enough about the folks here, do stop by and support what they are doing.

tinapa pizza is a must-try.affordable sizzling bangus sisig. :)although the service is slow, it's worth the wait. the thin pizza is great! will definitely visit this place often.

ordered 2 Overload Pizza's for takeout. Was top of the menu, so I guess their flagship pizza maybe? they were P185 each. (approx $6NZD). so equivalent to a cheap value range dominoes pizza back home. Waited in the restaurant which was clean and pleasant. (looks new)our pizzas came out in about 10-15mins packaged in very professional looking, strong cardboard boxes. So all good this far. Jumped on the motorbike and off straight home to Obrero (5mins away) to enjoy dinner. However was disappointed the pizzas were very cold. Basically i thought they were half cooked! everything was soft and cool including the base. reminded me of the those pre-made supermarket pizzas you take home and need to cook in the oven, but someone forgot to cook them. We didn't have an oven, so used the microwave to heat up a few slices at a time, which makes your pizza mushy if you overheat. expectations were already low for a cheap pizza, but wasn't expecting cold and half cooked. sorry Pizza factory - the factory was broken last night.
