Reviews on Pizza food in Potomac, Maryland, United States. Potomac ( listen (help·info)) is a census-designated place (CDP) in Montgomery County, Maryland, United States, named for the nearby Potomac River. Home to royalty, billionaires, diplomats, and the international business elite, it is one of the most prestigious communities in the Washington, D.C. area (and the US). In 2013, CNNMoney listed Potomac as the most affluent town in all the United States based on median household income. Potomac is also the seventh-most top-educated American small town according to Forbes. Bloomberg Businessweek labeled Potomac as the twenty-ninth-richest zip code in the United States in 2011, stating that it had the largest population of any U.S. town with a median income of more than $240,000. In 2012, The Higley Elite 100 published a list of highest-income neighborhoods by mean household income, which included four neighborhoods in Potomac; one of these neighborhoods, "Carderock-The Palisades" was ranked the highest-income neighborhood in the United States, followed by "Beverly Hills-North of Sunset" in Beverly Hills, California, and "Swinks Mill-Dominion Reserve" of McLean, Virginia. More recently, two Potomac neighborhoods were ranked among the ten wealthiest neighborhoods in the country by CNBC in 2014. In 2018, data from the American Community Survey revealed that Potomac was the sixth-wealthiest city in the United States. Many Potomac residents work in nearby Washington, D.C.

About a week ago I attended a wedding and reception for my neighbor's daughter. The venue was their back yard and there were 123 attendees. The catering was exclusively done by Pulcinella Restaurant and the food was delivered in a timely manner. It was fresh, hot and included everything from appetizers, pasta dishes and an entree of chicken marsala. It was by far the best food I've had at a wedding. The owner of Pulcinella was there to supervise, making sure everything was perfect. There was plenty of food for everyone and the Pulcinella staff went from to table to be sure everyone was satisfied The bride and the groom and their parents praised the entire catering event.I heard nothing but compliments from several attendees, some of which now plan to use Pulcinella as their catering for future events. Bravissimo to Pulcinella .

We're known for wood-fired pizzas, mini burgers, fresh salads and chef-inspired entrées, like pan-seared sea bass and oven-roasted filet mignon. It's American bistro fare, crafted from high quality ingredients with a chef at the helm in every kitchen.

The virtual tour of the restaurant on their website is very cool and worth clicking through. We had dinner during the week. It was crowded, but not packed, service was fast and friendly and the food was good. The mini-burgers and crab cakes were excellent, There is a good selection of fun drinks (with and without alcohol). The menu is very varied and includes a build your own pizza option.

HH is when you casually sample an eatery's kitchen's culinary skills and decide whether you should return for the regular menu. I don't think we would, though I had an excellent lunch buffet 15 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it.The mussel is done so poorly, almost didn't want to finish it, there is no flavor in the soup. The fried calamari is even worse, usually dipping sauces make you want to eat more, not in this case. I have never had "bad" calamari anywhere, this is a first. The eggplant rollatini is forgettable though it sounded promising. We tasted less than half of it and took the rest home for the puppy, he'll eat anything. It was busy and everyone else seems to enjoy their meal. So it could just be us. When you order 3 appetizers and none of them enjoyable, guess there is no returning for more.

Food is not remarkable. Basic fare but priced for the zip code. $0.50 extra for "imported," bottled beer. They apply this price to Killian's and Ying Ling. The former is brewed and bottled by Coors in Colorado; Ying Ling is the oldest domestic brewer in the US - it's in Pennsylvania. Sounds domestic to me. Evenings are busy with families and kids so go a bit later for a more quiet time. Rated value as low because average food had above average prices . . . not to mention the extra charge for domestically brewed and bottled beer.

California Pizza Kitchen

We go to California Pizza Kitchen about every other week. Usually in Gaithersburg sometimes here. The difference in service is astounding. This place is totally disorganized. Took 10 minutes for a server to acknowledge our presence, half an hour for food to arrive (parties that came in after us were served first), when the food did arrive the pizza was cold (I could see it sitting on the counter waiting for someone to bring it to our table, finally had to track down the manager to get it delivered). We have been here several times and the story is usually the same. Don't know what the issue is but it appears to be systemic.

The food here is what you'd expect from a pizza joint. Personally, I prefer the salads. They are fresh and made to order. I have been here on several occasions when they have had a younger crew working the register. I noticed I was overcharged and they had a difficult time making the correction. I'm not too harsh about this as everybody has to start/learn in a new job.I hate the parking in this lot. The spaces are very tight and it's always near full. That is the biggest downfall. Thanks so much for your kind words!

This place doesn't look like much from the outside, nor is the interior much to talk about. The food, however, is really good, and we were served by three very cheerful, attentive waitresses. Their menu is enormous, including breakfast all day, and the prices are quite reasonable, especially in this pricey neighborhood. The servings were so large that we had enough to take home leftovers.Great place to stop for lunch or dinner after a hike at Great Falls!

Probably once a month or so, I meet my cousin for dinner at Sugo. We go because it is easy and comfortable: the waiters are great, the menu is varied, the food is always well-prepared, and the wine is excellent. We love sharing the small plates and, without fail, always start with the grilled Brussels sprouts. We never feel there is an expectation for us to finish up and go. Definitely recommend.
