Our hungry and tired family of five, which includes three teens, visited here after arriving in town around 8 p.m. We were given looks from the staff, and our server acted like he could barely bring himself to wait on us. We hadn't done anything, except walk in the door, so I'm not sure what the issue was unless it was getting to be closing time and they wanted to go home (but I don't think it was). Beyond the attitudes, the place was just too avant garde. I didn't want anything exotic -- just pizza. Wouldn't be my first choice if I was back in Emeryville.

The Cheeseboard Collective has a winning strategy: make just one kind of vegetarian pizza every day (except Sunday and Monday), provide counter service only and offer it ready to eat or half-baked for heating up later. The dining area is smallish but airy and there's often live music. And, if Cheeseboard Pizza isn't open, you can buy the half-baked pizza at the Cheeseboard Bakery next door.

We went here for my husbandâs 80th birthday. The restaurant had his name printed at the top of the menu. I suspect they also had a special dessert which we couldnât stay for due to young children getting tired. We had a variety of food - pizza, ribs, carbonara- all of which were delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Family friendly, wonât break the bank, attentive servers, good drinks. Go for pizza but also check out their salads, veggies and sandwiches etc. we shared their July pizza - goat cheese, tomatoes and other seasonal veggies it was fabulous. Cauliflower side and peppers also delicious. Good wine pricing and overall a place to return to.

The Forge Menu Donât be fooled by the reputation of our pizza; our locations also serve an impressive collection of sandwiches, appetizers, soups, and more. Our menus present choices that include plates to share, salads and fruits, steaks and burgers, fis
After sightseeing around Jack London's Square we all agreed on pizza and decided to stop at Forge Pizza en route to the ferry. Service was fast and pizza and beer very good. We decided to sit outdoors with a nice view of the harbor. It was a pleasant late lunch without a crowd on a Saturday afternoon.

We are here every week for slices to go. The pizza is terrific and the quality is high, never changing. But the reception and service is often cold and unwelcoming, and the prices keep inching higher and higher.

We loved this place but the menu was disappointing. Then we found out that they'd had a kitchen fire so weren't at full menu. But the beer was great and the vibe was very "happening" with the best that Oakland can offer....young, old, families, pets, ethnic, racial, and gender diversity. Wonderful!

There are a lot of pizza choices in the Rockridge area, and this is the one that we keep coming back to for take away pizza. It's because the quality is very, very good. Service is sketchy. Some staff are nice, others rude. The prices keep edging up and up. But we like the quality.
