This restaurant location has changed names and owners several times over the last few years. We visited for lunch one day and was not impressed. I ordered a beef burrito $8.95 and my companion ordered a combo plate consisting of one cheese enchilada and one chicken taco $12.95 . Both were average, nothing special. Burritos look so boring when they arrive ...just the burrito sitting on a plate ! No condiments no nothing , no lime or salad or salsa . When the bill came the enchilada and taco combo had jumped in price to $14.95. When we questioned the difference in menu price the server or owner stated that my friend had ordered sour cream $1 more and cheese for the taco $1 more. My friend would never order sour cream as he dislikes it and shoved to one side of his plate. AND what Mexican restaurant charges for cheese on a hard shell taco..( even Taco Bell provides cheese on its tacos) he never asked for these items and they were never explained ...so now the combo plate was $14.95 ( for lunch mind you ) the owner never offered to remove the charges and for that we will never return . Poor service with price gauging is a no no .... thanks but no thanks ....

It doesn't matter what time of day you come, you can always get their chips and bean dip. They have decent food, but this time is was just average, not really great. I got their lunch tostada with rice and beans. I asked for ground beef with extra lettuce. I got shredded beef with very little lettuce. I think their breakfast specials was worth coming here. Otherwise, go to another local place.

My family and I usually dine here, but the last weekend sealed the deal for us. The service was unsatisfactory! Our server took our order, but my husband's order didn't come out with the rest of the food. As we're sitting there eating our food and waiting for our server, she finally arrives and asks us how everything was? Ummm...my husband didn't get his order? So she heads back and says it'll be out soon. His order of spicy chicken pasta arrives and it was HORRIBLE. I felt so bad for him. The pasta was probably cooked in bad water. He and I knew because this was his usual! My order of the 3 taco plate was disgusting to say the least. Overall experience just left a bad taste in my mouth from the service down to the food. I could've made a decent meal at home for half the price.

These are never fresh, the chips tasted like they sat out and were stale, while the churros were cold and very soft when they should be crisp. The customer service is always great, just bad food quality.

El Camino Mexican Restaurant is located on Brentwood Blvd in Brentwood Ca, not in Oakley. It is a family owned restaurant that's been in this same location for over 40 years. Good food, very large portions, medium prices. They just remodeled and have added a very nice full service bar. Worth a try

The decor is not really classy. Years ago, this was a plumbing supply building. Other than that, I have nothing but good to say about Jalisco's. Great food, friendly employees, Good prices. This is the best Mexican restaurant in the area. Breakfast is especially good and inexpensive.
