Sitio pequeño, hay que reservar. Sólo tienen menú degustación, al menos el fin de semana. Cuatro entrantes a cual más bueno, entre ellas unas clochinas riquÃsimas y como plato fuerte un arroz meloso con bogavante que estaba parta chuparse los dedos. El postres, casero, riquÃsimo puso el punto final a un comida estupenda, regada con un buen vino.

Un domingo de fiestas por la noche decidimos ir a cenar a GatroTentacion unos cuantos amigos. La carta es cortita pero mas que interesante, pedimos las croquetas de boletus muy buenas, el crujiente de langostinos muy bueno. Ensaladilla de boqueron, calamar com romescu y unas albóndigas al curry espectaculares!!!! How the hell such a good restaurant got the name like that? It had nothing to do with German cooking. It's a pure heart of midterranian quisine. It must be some kind of witness protection program, which aims to hide good food away of strangers. And the food is delicious. Perfectly grilled vegetables as a companion for softly fried squid with a little taste of olive, basil and lemon puts me into food heaven. Specially after hard working day in, I must admit, ugly city.

PodrÃa hablar de los precios excesivos, de lo que tardan en servir o de que la atención es bastante deficiente, pero eso no es lo peor de todo. Lo indignante es que nos cobraron dos âservicios de panâ cuando no habÃamos tomado pan, y al ir a reclamar nos informaron de que eso era âservicio de camareroâ, unos dos euros por persona. No sé si la camarera quiso evitar rectificar el ticket y nos mintió o si tienen la poca vergüenza de cobrar realmente el servicio de camarero y encima llamarlo servicio de pan, pero en cualquiera de esos casos han perdido unos clientes. Una lástima que un sitio donde se come bien haya acabado asÃ, parece mentira que Pepa esté detrás de todo esto.

Valencian paella here is the real deal--cooked over a wood fire, the meats and vegetables flavorful and juicy. I have eaten a lot of paella, this was the best.House red wine, appetizers and desserts were very good (the calamari a la plancha especially) but the paella steals the show.

We go to La Piazzetta in Almassora for 'special occasion' family meals such as birthdays, anniversaries and celebrations. The service is friendly and professional. The food is wonderful and the portions are generous, typical of Valencia, where the people love their food. If you like sharing a delicious table salad, breadsticks and good wine, in a happy environment, give it a try. They do a great gin and tonic too. They also open at lunchtime, great for business meetings, but avoid the gin and tonic if you´re going back to work. Its just down the road from the town hall on the corner of Plaza Santa Isabel, near the bus terminus, and I think they are closed on Mondays.

Really: this is a great experience from all points of view. It is a small restaurant, very cozy, in the very heart of Castellon de la Plana. The staff, first of all, deserve big kudos. They know how to make people feel welcome: very obliging and friendly, they made recommendations, checked with us all the time to make sure we were ok; you could clearly see they were interested in you as their client.They even recommended us to order less food as they thought that what we ordered would be too much for two people. How many times do you find such honest and caring people in a restaurant?The food is simply exquisite: the beef with the truffles sauce was exceptionally tasty. Even the shrimp in garlic (such a simple dish) had a really great taste: they were just so fresh and so well cooked that we just emptied a huge plate of those.For our first day in Castellon de la Plana, this was a great welcome.
