It was a family meal, with a selection of local fare - , suckling pig, venison, lamb chops, andthe loceal wild mushrooms. All delicious.

We passed this relatively minuscule joint by on our trip to Banos de Archena and were intrigued by the sheer number of cars parked outside at lunchtime. Where locals flock around a chef or a kitchen there is bound to be good food. After squeezing our rental cal into a parking spot, we went inside, only to find an orderly system of seating and serving. The food arrived quite fast, and to our satisfaction. Paella seemed to be the favourite dish, so we joined in. Large portions, waiters very attentive, and a laid back atmosphere!

This unassuming cafe bar is a total delight. The Tostas de Monica are as fresh and tasty as spring morning and leaves you ordering yet another. Cold local beer for a sweltering day, great local wine to complement is just right. And when you get the bill, it is about the price of a couple of pints in London. An absolute pleasure.

Our first trip to El Albiro restaurant with 3 friends. We decided on the tapas selection of 7 courses. Each presentation was a delight, well set out dishes, encompassing a range of differing tastes all of which delighted. More a selection of starter size plates rather than small tapas. Well worth the â¬28 price each. The Restaurant is clean and tidy but is showing signs of being in need of a re paint and design, rather than the eclectic range if bric a brac. The waitresses could not be faulted for their friendliness or efficiency. A lovely place to dine, recommended.

We decided to stop here after going to Balneario de Archena based on excellent comments on TripAdvisor. We arrived around 3:30 pm and the restaurant was not really full. Still we had to wait suite a lot before getting a table. Once seated we had to wait even more before the young waitress came to tell us the menu. We were surprised and asked for the full menu because we wanted to order à la carte as the dayly menu was not really appealing. We got the cured meats without bread which I decided to get at the bar in the first room. The bread was not fresh and chewy. Then we had fried squid. The waitress forgot to give us small plates. I went to the service table and helped myself. Several customers were waiting for their bill and finally decided to go and pay at the bar... we were almost the last ones ut had to wait more for our lamb chops and Murcian Chato pork chop which were good and cooked on the charcoal grill. The fries were obviously undercooked but were served anyway... If the service were good and professional the experience at this local restaurant would have been very good but such horrible service ruined it all.

This Restaurant is a must......from the moment you enter through to the time you leave,the ambience is delightful, the Staff are exceptional and the food is so,so,good.The Menu is extensive covering most, if not all tastes.....the presentation has to be seen to be believed, whether it be Tapas,Meat or Fish.....then there are the Desserts...WOW !Have no hesitation whatsoever,in recommending this wonderful Restaurant.

We stayed for a week in Archena and tried this restaurant where we ate before 2 years ago. The food was excellent and the service even more because the owner did his best to please us in any way he could. As foreigners we insisted eating tapas as a main course together with my steak. Even served me a heavenly Tocino de cielo. Lovely atmosphere and people, we will certainly come back again! Thank you for the excellent wine!

Yesterday with friends we were staying in Levante hotel which is 3km from that fantastic place, and were thinking about the dinner, checked TripAdvisor and decided to go 8 people with children for dinner. We didn't it reserve it in advance, but we were lucky , because to be around 8pm probably its too early for Sunday dinner. So , have chosen the table, didn't check the menu just ask the best tapas and wine , and show starts ))) it was really fantastic food and time spending, great experience for all of us tasting new ingredients playing together, and we didn't know what is coming next, so there were meat, fish, prawns, vegetables, something like pancakes with pulled meat. So food and atmosphere were fantastic, definitely recommend to everybody, if you are in town. Thank you for that dinner!!!

4 of us went for tapas and they understood my Spanlish. We Had goats cheese with tomato jam. Delicious. Then 4 other tapas Beautiful thin steak on great crusty bread. 4glasses of wine, plus coffees and the bill was only 20 Euros a couple. A great find
