Kafejnica Pagrabins is located in the basement of hotel Cesis and has a small terrace by the side of the hotel. Food options are essentially Latvian presented in a cafetaria style. It should be noted that they also offer pretty decent and very reasonably priced pizzas. A crust a little different from what you would get in Napoli but quite good nevertheless and generous toppings. Overall, nothing fancy but enjoyable.

"EpikÅ«ra DÄrzs" is located on the 6th floor of the "Vidzeme Concert Hall" building, what gives a wonderful possibility to see the CÄsis town from a different and scenic point of view. I got a chance to visit this place for a lunch. I took the daily lunch offer, which offered the choice between starter or soup and the main-course. I was really surprised about the quality and the taste of the prepared dishes. I had a feeling of having a'la carte dishes, which made me really satisfied. Food was prepared with high attitude!

There was concert nearby and decided to take quick dinner. Choose table on terrace, lovely place. Place is more formal and is suitable for long dinner and cocktails.Choose lamb, but this was bad choice - it was tiny.

Most restaurants in the center of Cesis were overcrowded and we decided to try this one. It was a good idea indeed. Their beef cooked in beer with white mushroom sauce is really good. The place is good for big groups with kids and etc. I'd say it's a perfect example of the small restaurant for families with kids.

The food was very good - one of the best during our trip to Latvia, in fact. The serving was fast and also great, the interior is very nice. The kids were willing to travel from Jurmala just to have dinner at that place.

Whenever you are on the way to or in CÄsis go there.The budist bowl,fish soup is so amazingly delicious.It's all about when chef loves what he does and it's food.This is my summer hot spot for food experience in Latvia.
