sehr gemütlich und toller Familien Campingplatz
Reviewed By steffenschmidt2018Wir waren mit Kind auf dem Campingplatz und sind begeistert. Großzügiger Spielplatz für Kinder von 0 bis 12 Jahren. Sehr nah am Meer. Äußerst gut durchdachte Anordnung der Küche, Toiletten und Hütten. Vollständig eingeräumte Einbauküche mit sehr großem Essen Raum vorhanden. Einfache Buchung bzw. Kontaktaufnahme. Der Familienbungalow hat ein bereits aufgebautes Kinderbett und einen Koffer mit Spielzeug inklusive (EURO 40/Nacht, Aug. 2018)

Great rest in nature
Reviewed By elina_kolaA ski track is available next to the guest house. As there is always a lot of snow in Aluksne, this will be a great place for those who like to ski. The tracks are available for young children and adults. The owners of the guest house are very responsive.

Stay during Valmiera and Cēsis visit.
Reviewed By summertime777Decided to stay here during my visit to Valmiera and Cēsis. Chose this place because it was off main road.I was greeted by Jānis. We started talking and he told me his story how he acquired this amazing place and it blew me away. It's absolutely amazing story but it's not mine to be told. But will stay in my memory bank for long time. Highly recommended. It's exactly how it's described on website. It's clean, comfortable, quite place, amazing people with huge hearts.

Simple hotel but OK
Reviewed By Jørgen KVisited Viesnīca Klidziņa for the first time this week. The hotel or motel is quite simple, the decor of the rooms is very simple and spartan. But it is nice and clean. Hotel is located alongside the main road to Aizkraukle, but traffic noise was not so high as expected. Restaurant for dinner is good, menu is good, and the food is very good. Staff was very polite, and service minded. So that can be recommend. The bistro which also function as local shop of food etc for breakfast is very simple as well. Very few dishes to choose between, the staff does not speak english - only local language, so very difficult to talk with them. Some of the local drunkards stayed on the parking lot in connection to the hotel and outside as well. Not the best commercial for the hotel.

Avoid if you can afford it
Reviewed By HPtheFarmerThe hostel is okay for its money. Location is okay but if you want to visit the park, I would advice to stay in Cesis. The hostel itself is okay. Our room was quite clean although we found out that the red spots on the wall were smashed insects. It was quiet during the night but the curtains for some reason only covered half of the window so it was light very early in the morning. The beds were better than expected. It's nice that there is a kitchen were you can cook your own meal, especially since the village does not have many dining options. You may miss some stuff though you would want to use during cooking. We think that the (shared) bathroom does not belong to the cleanest ever. The mens' shower smelled pretty much like the inside of a latrine. That was less nice. The woman who was in charge did not speak any English but some German.
