visited here with family friday 4th january 2018 early evening . i am giving the exact date so the owner can be clear who was working. carbon is a very nice restaurant with fantastic views. we had called in earlier in week for coffee and drinks and was served by a lovely waitress which prompted us to return as the food being served looked so nice. the food on the night in question was very nice. some had the ribs others Hawaiian chicken . two of the men shared a meat platter which was nice but the sides with it are very sparse.. but the bit i really want to tell other travelers is about the waiter. there was only us and 1 other lady in this massive restaurant and he actually had the audacity to tell us to stop asking for extras separately and if we wanted anything else to tell him all at once.. i was horrified . when you ask for extras you are actually adding to the bill. why would any waiter be so rude when the restaurant is empty????? we ate our dinner and left without having sweets or coffees ....obviously we didnt want to disturb him anymore. we paid our bill with no tip. our night was ruined by this idiot who should not be in the hospitality industry. i'm sure the owner would have been gutted by his behavior. and if he was the owner he is in the wrong trade, pity as the chef did well.Desde gerencia sentimos mucho su experiencia, no teniamos conocimiento de la actitud de este camarero, le pedimos disculpas a la vez que agradecemos su comentario. Pondremos solucion para que situaciones como esta no se repitan en nuestro establecimiento.

We found this little restaurant by accident and were lucky enough to get a table. We both had different risottos and it's best I have ever had outside of Italy. Nice portions, beautifully presented ,we loved it so much we booked to come back our last night. We now wish we had gone another night, in fact we would probably eat there every night as in our opinion it was the best meals of our holiday. It isn't cheap and cheerful ...cheerful absolutely with great service and actually not expensive in quality. We don't have big appetites and usually just have a main course but as we both love arancini decided to share a starter.The lovely chef usually makes 3 as a starter but kindly made us 2 each.SO glad we had this as they were fabulous with gorgeous home made pesto. Perfectly cooked. I am returning in May and are going to be half board at the Canfali hotel where food is excellent BUT I will skip a dinner and eat here one evening. My friend and I will also be returning in November and this will be a must return to for dinner. Good good. Plenty of choice. No Spanish house wine...shame. It made the meal expensive when you were only offered Italian wines.Dear costumer,about the wine, I m italian, make italian pizzas, italian homemade icecream and italian pastas so italian wine its normal no!!!!!!! The house wine a Montepulciano D Abruzzo for Euro 2.20 its expensive??? Verdicchio 2.20, Rosado del Salento 2.20.....okThank you very much for the 4 stars and i m happy that everythink was good good (exp wine).

We picked this restaurant as we wanted to try the tapas advertised in the ruta de tapa booklet. It was delicious. Very friendly staff, nice outdoor seating area. One suggestion - tidy up the ladies toilet area and it would improve the place no end :)

We have eaten here many times now and the food is excellent! The owners are charming and the ambience is friendly and welcoming. It's great for couples and families.There are other Italian restaurants in Altea but this is by far the best that we have found. The owner does the cooking and he can really cook! It is proper Italian food! If you haven't been then do go because you won't be disappinted! And if you enjoy tiramasu then this is the place, it's homemade and wonderfully fresh and huge! We had to take half home the last time we ordered it.

we went for the fiesta parade,so only booked a pizza place, but what a shock when the menu came, and it was a delight,, we ended up trying and eating an amazing selection of hot and cold salads and wonderful pizzas, the children beautiful deserts, while us adults tried fantastic coffee mine had baileys and fresh cream, the others had there's with brandy,can not wait for our next visit ,so see you soon

Had diner last night and we ordered the tuna tartare and ham with melon as starters and pizza gourmet and the chicken as mains. The tartare was incredible, nicely seasoned. The reason weâll be back for more this week! The chicken was gratinated with ham and cheese and was tasty and also full of flavor. The portions are more then enough! The only downside is the pizza gourmet which is with truffle and it was a pity that they donât use fresh truffle? Ask a few euros more?

After a long walk we decide to get pizza !Pizzeria look very ordinary many many tables....95% empty,but we did decide.After waiting 20 min the waiter to bring the menu and ofcourse without any polite form!!!!Honestly pizza was good taste and we liked.What was disturbing is the position of waiter, it look like,we are in fast food. No smile,bring your pizzas unpolite and run away.... Once i paid,no thank you,no asking if we enjoy in food....well, is the first and last time to go there.So pitty !!!!
