A simple menu, but good food nonetheless! Reasonably priced and great service! Fresh baked goods everyday, their own special house dressing is a local staple! I gave it 4 because there is not much seating for crowds or large parties.
It was sort of like a mall pizza, or Brooklyn Pizza, very tasty and the wings were good too! They delivered to our hotel room promptly and were very friendly

I prefer traditional Italian pizza to "American" Italian pizza. Wood fired is my favorite, but I like coal fired as well. Recently a friend told me about a wood fired pizza place in BelleVernon. I didn't expect much, but we tried it anyway. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. They explained the whole process and the story behind the magnificent oven. We had them make a "small" Loko Koko Mozzarella/basil/tomato/oil (no sauce). It was fantastic! We asked them to serve it the traditional Italian way, not cut into triangles. One of the best pizzas I have had. Won't have to drive to Shadyside or Bridgeville to get good wood fired pizza any more. (small is really a medium and you can taste the ingredients because it has no overpowering garlic taste.)

I had zucchini parm, salad, pasta and garlic bread for only $11.50. The food was outstanding Italian and the price was great for what you got. Their cakes and pies are also fantastic, all homemade. Best place to eat in MonCity.
The Pasta Shoppe is a family owned and operated restaurant/bar located in downtown Monessen. Our menu includes a wide variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner entrees along with our daily specials. Our specialty at The Pasta Shoppe is our homemade ravioli,
Friends and I go here almost everyday between our classes. Excellent food for the price. Staff is awsome. Would recommend to anyone.

Worst Italian food ever. Didn't know you could mess up pasta. The sauce was acidic and no flavor. The meatballs were made of filler. The buffet also had canned white potatoes and canned beans, how disgusting! Plastic everything. No liquor license to help erase the taste. Bathrooms equally gross without air conditioning.

One of our favorite fine dining places to eat,Lucchesi's is an old school restuarant, with down to earth atmosphere and superb service. The veal, lobster , seafood and filet mignon are exceptional. The entire experience at Lucchesi's from arrival to departure is A++++.

I have been eating here at least once a month for 2 years now. It's a small mom and pop, well, just mom I think. The staff is small and work their butts off, it seems.been there with many different people, and they were all happy.I love the red sauce here. I realize sauce can vary a whole lot from cook to cook, but this one reminds me of the 'gravy' I grew up with in italian homes in new jersey

The servers were polite and attentive. We actually had made a reservation and the restaurant was not busy except for some takeout orders. The appetizers were decent and the salad was fresh. The restroom was unisex and my sister found the toilet seat up.! The place was not clean. I ordered the "special", the tour of Italy loving the idea of a sampler platter. Well, the chicken parm was thin and dried out. I could not taste the meat. The veal scaloppini had a horrible greasy sauce and the meat was hard. The meat ravioli was mushy with a dogfood-like filling and was served ice cold. The gnocchi were soggy and cold. My sisters crepe manicotti was soured. Over all, this was the worst Italian food I have ever eaten, very sorry to say. This used to be such a great place.

My husband and I happened on this restaurant only because we couldn't go to the one we had planned on. Well, we were taken by the stained glass windows at the entrance. Once inside, the decor had us! Railfans, this is a must place to see such delightful sights! The food was delicious! Manicotti, spaghetti, ravioli. Ohhh, and the cake with pineapple. Just delicious. The service was excellent. We have a new place to come to!
