We rent out a property 5 mins away and thought we would check this restaurant out for our guests.We waited almost an hour from ordering to the very mediocre meal arriving. They were not overly bothered that we were getting cross waiting, only offered excuses. The meal was very average and would have been prepared to give them another try but their attitude was so indifferent, we can't be bothered either.

Great location but doesnât take advantage of it.Place itself feels tired and out dated. Very small outside area, all covered with no ability to sit in the sun.Food is mixed, Piri Piri Chicken good, as are the salads. However, the spaghetti Bolognaâs and cheese toasties were poor.Service was also mixed. Some good but some just rude and unhelpful. We were even given very different measures for spirits given by different staff.

I ordered the slow cooked short ribs and they were awesome. Huge portions, great service. Make reservations though which seems to be the norm in Luz.

We found this place on trip advisor and were delighted with our choice. I think it was Grill night or something similar, it was a Monday evening. There were fixed menus for 2 or 3 courses at â¬15.90 or â¬19.90 which included some really good food. Main course choices were a whole sea bass or steak or Piri Piri chicken or grilled swordfish. All really nice - there were 4 of us and we had all 4. Great service (the waiter could have been a little chirpier) but was a good evening

Great view of the sea whilst sitting outside although we moved inside to eat given the cool breeze. Despite the team having moved us, we sat for some time without menus so couldnât get ready to order! No big deal as we were chatting and drinking but another day, they might have wanted the table. Of the starters, the goats cheese salads were especially good. For mains, the fillet steak and mixed grills were amongst the biggest ever seen and the seafood cataplana was nicely diverse and well received. Johnâs wine recommendations were good too, although an ice bucket for the white would have been helpful.

What a great English pub, full of footy TVs, large inside & plenty of room outside, with a free swimming pool. Staff look after you as if they were family. We had Sunday dinner for three adults three children, it was large well cooked just like your mums dinner. Well done we will be back.

This restaurant is very good with attentive service and great food. You must try the "cataplana" Portuguese dish if you are a fan of seafood. It was moist and flavoursome and truly a highlight of our stay in Burgau.

managed to get 4 of us in for dinner without reservation , unusual , we had amazing food served by a waitress ( short dark hair , big smile ) who has passion for her job . Lovely food , lovely wine and just a wonderful evening ..we will return in April as it was our best meal this holiday .

Had a disappointing meal here to celebrate a elderly relatives birthday recently. We had certain expectations given the website, but the restaurant didnât really stack up to the image presented. There was loud music playing which made it difficult to chat (It was an 89th birthday!) and the restaurant was largely open to the elements which didnât help. The food was ok, with one dish being really good, but the overall service was also disappointing. (Long waits, meals served some time apart etc). The bill was also a surprise as the most expensive meal we had during a 2 week holiday in the area. Sadly, it just wasnât worth that in my book.

Very popular, with indoor and outdoor seating, though no view. Tasty dishes, polite and cheerful staff and incredibly good value (particularly if choosing the excellent house wine). Cash only, but you donât need much!
