The house specialty beef medallions with sweet potato were delicious, as was the grilled tuna and the mixed kebab. The local dessert trio of dates, almonds and carob were a perfect finish to an excellent meal and a full-bodied Portuguese red wine. Highly recommended!

We have been going to Gunther's ever since it opened for during our 2 week holidays to Olhao. The food is always exceptional, the staff and Gunther himself have always welcomed us with a warm, polite and friendly atmosphere.It is a modern, yet chilled restaurant with good vibes and ever better food.We have never once had to send our food back and never once had a rude encounter with staff.Staff ensure at all times you are enjoying your meal and are very accommodating to people's wants/needs.We are due to go back in 3 weeks, and it's safe to say we can't wait to visit.

There is a lovely little secret garden in the back of this restaurant, which creates a very nice atmosphere. The food is fresh and delicious, excellent service and portions are large, but guided by the excellent waiter, who told us we had ordered too much and he was so right.The monkfish with prawns was my favourite, but we also shared a few tapas as there are tapas and mains in the menu. We did n't hesitate to return a couple of nights later for the last meal of the holiday. Also have the house red wine it was superb.Thank you !

Nice decor and attentive staff. I had the burger with goat cheese and cured ham. With a glass of wine this made for a satisfying meal. I finished with the hot strawberries in syrup with green peppercorns. This was a new take on strawberries which Iâll certainly try at home. Hello Edwin1957!
