Had a great dinner here on the terrace. Friendly owner, superb quality food and home made puds. Traditional menu, reasonably priced. Well worth the trip.

My wife and I drove here from our nearby holiday home for lunch. Dommartin is a tatty village, and the restaurant car park is no better, but the building is attractive and the good impressions continue when one enters the smart reception area, surrenders overcoats and mounts the few stairs in the nicely decorated and modern dining room.We started with an interesting aperitif - Alsacian sparkling wine, Cointreau, grapefruit juice and blackberry liqueur. Yummy! We both chose the Menu Gourmand at Euro 38. The amuses bouches were followed by a fennel wanna cotta with green aniseed, vegetables and haddock fillet - a very unusual dish which worked perfectly for both of us. This was followed by grilled duck foie gras in a corn and honey cream sauce with raw ham crispies - again very imaginative and very good. Our main dish was perfectly cooked duck breast in a mild space mantle with carrots, olive gravy and rosemary - again excellent. A modest selection of three local cheeses was followed by a pretty good dessert trolley. My wife chose fresh fruit, but I found room for a very good chocolate cake. We finished with coffee. Service was excellent throughout, friendly and efficient. This is one of the very best restaurants in an area of France not brimming over with them, and we shall be back.

Visited on a wet cold February evening. Nice people in the restaurant which is nicely decorated in art Deco (or is it Art Nouveau?) style. Very nice, good quality food, if not outstanding hence only 4 stars but overall very good and would certainly visit again. Note the place is closed all day on a Sunday

My wife and I visited for a midday lunch. We sat on the terrace, with a fine view of the Moselle valley. Excellent foie gras to start, then a tasty lamb rack followed by an excellent chocolate and wild fruit dessert. Good house wine, efficient and friendly service, homemade goodies with the coffee and a bill of Euro 111 for two. This wasn't our first visit, and we will certainly be back for more!

This is a fairly recent addition to the Remiremont restaurant scene, and it is an excellent addition! My wife and I dined at an outside table, next to the busy main road, but the interior looked very welcoming too. There was a good a la carte selection, and also several fixed menus. My wife chose the Euro 16 lunch menu, a bargain at Euro 16, consisting of tomato salad followed by chicken with vegetables and caramelised brioche; sadly, the chicken was slightly undercooked and there was blood on the bone. My menu (Euro 32.50) was an excellent goat cheese ravioli, followed by suckling pig and chocolate ganache; everything was delicious and nicely presented. Service was impeccable. With San Pellegrino, half a bottle of Bourgueil and two coffees, we were happy with the bill of Euro 72 - very good value. We will return!

and possibly good by comparison to many, even on days their toughest competition is open. The prices are reasonable. The food is good, but not pretentious or "high cuisine". Le Dahu specializes in fondue, but we had steak and fish menus, which were both quite good. Service was quite good considering we were hidden in the "corner" (front window, actually, but behind a full-scale plastic cow); we were not forgotten, and that's always nice. Perhaps it helped that, although it was lighly raining, there were a few couples and small parties of people seated in the outdoor sidewalk tables, sheltered below a couple patio umbrellas, across the street from the restaurant, so when our waitress returned from delivering food there, I think she was reminded that we were ready to order, etc.The place is creatively and artistically decorated and, in the small unisex restroom, you'll find that a small metal garden bucket with a drain installed serves as a sink, something I'd never seen before, but the eclectic decor of the rest of the place. But the toilet (room in general) was tidy and clean, which is always a good sign in any food establishment. Almost all, if not all, of the top-rated restaurants in the town are closed on Sunday evenings, so we were happy to find a table at this interesting place and will happily return.

We had a lovely dinner with great ingredients and lots of natural and fresh flavours. Great food, with good recommendations for accompanying wines. Good service with good knowledge about the combinations of flavours. There is a patio style terras for warm days. Nice modern decoration. Would definitely go there if you are in the area.

Parking is relatively easy, lunch time menu offered something for everyone. Vosgienne salad was lovely & creme caramel was the best I'd ever tasted. Friendly service open 12-3pm for lunch.

This is a classy restaurant that knows it's business and would survive well even in Paris.The restaurant is small and provides very personal service to its clients.The food is of high quality and tastes delicious.If you are visiting The Remiremont are, this would be your best choice.Reservations recommended.
