Very pleasant Riverside cafe overlooking trees. Relaxed owners and staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. STEAK, (enormous and delicious) Moules Frites, Generous smoked salmon Nordic salad, superb house burgers, and effort for the Vegetarians with a huge and varied mixed salad with feta. Huge selection of Ice creams, fruit sorbet and smoothie fruit drinks. HIGHLY recommended.

This little creperie is tucked out of the way, a hidden gem as people always say. A small working farm expanding on business. It's well worth the visit for fresh, local cuisine at very sensible prices. Good service, good food and pleasant surrounding

Sucré-Salé is located in a village house on the main square of Saint-Méloir-des-Bois, a small village situated a few kilometres north-west of Dinan. The restaurant-crêperie serves the very thin local buckwheat pancakes which are a Breton specialty. The sweet buckwheat pancakes are locally known as crêpes while savoury pancakes are known as galettes. The pancakes served by the restaurant were very different from those found in most places as their presentation came across more like works of art as the ownerâcook is a lady who is a qualified artisan-crêpier (traditional pancake maker). The menu is only about galettes and crêpes, and the choice comes from the various stuffing that come with them⦠and the list is huge. When I discussed with the owner, she told me that all dishes and desserts were exclusively prepared from fresh products and were homemade, including the chocolate, almond paste, various jams, sauces etc... and that food she couldnât make such as honey was locally bought. The presentation of her dishes was original, refined and in total breach with the ordinary style that is so often seen in many restaurants-crêperies that cater for tourists. The galettes were served elegantly folded and along with four tiny bowls containing extra stuffing and ingredients and a side salad presented in a smaller pancake folded like a basket. All was very tasty and beautifully cooked, and the portions were big enough for a normal appetite! The service was mainly done by her husband and surprisingly we didnât have to wait that long despite the fact that the restaurant was almost full; the time between two dishes was very acceptable. Above all we enjoyed the attention, kindness and good humour her husband displayed, it created a very relaxed atmosphere. The restaurantâs decoration is traditional, and seeing the cook working in her open plan kitchen gave an even greater feeling of authenticity. Finally the pricing was more than reasonable and is suitable for a family outing, especially as there is a Child Menu and the table paper sets are printed with games and drawings for the children. Many locals but also holiday makers regularly dine at the restaurant, as we found out the two evenings we went. There was quite an international atmosphere, yet the place had managed to remain simple, warm and genuine and was a match to the quality of the menu. What we also liked about the place is that the owner has opted for keeping the restaurant âsmallâ so the quality prevailed over the quantity, and it showed and âtastedâ!My advice:The restaurant is only for those who like pancakes, the others might be frustrated that there is no alternative choice on the menu, but this is a pancake-restaurant after all!The portions are normal, but might be on the small side for those who have a very large appetite. The place is locally renowned so you can't just turn up! You have to book a table before hand, especially as the restaurant is not open every day of the week.

- lies about 15kn west of Dinan.
Having had a lovely meal here last year, we returned to enjoy the menu gourmet a second time. The restaurant was quiet on a friday evening and Madame Sachet looked after us extremely well, tolerating our mediocre french with grace. The food was wonderful and her wine recommendation was excellent. Fortunately we did not have far to cycle home...

Not bad - nice local restaurant we found on spec looking for sunday lunch. full of locals we suspect. nice ambience. i attempted the seafood choucroute which was big but i had a suspicion that the fish etc was frozen as it was a little tasteless. enough other restaurants around to suggest we wont repeat the exercise but if someone invited us we wouldn't have a problem accepting

Found this lovely family run creperie, wonderful crepes, excellent service and very friendly. It is open on a Sunday for lunch and dinner too something you don't often find in French restaurants. Very reasonably priced will definitely visit again soon.

This is a local, very clean pub where along with locals, truck drivers and workmen eat, but they were all well-presented! Entree is a buffet (excellent choices), then a good range of options (simple food but cooked very well). Wine (as much as you'd like) is included in the price. Dessert choices also very good. A great experience and we'll keep an eye out for the logo in future when we want a simple but good, plain food (e.g., roast chicken).

We have had a static mobile home at Camping au Bocage du Lac for 4 years and the new Crousty'Lac opened this year (2015). It is a family run cafe for families and they do specials on certain days, like Moules and Paella. We collect freshly baked croissants and baguette for breakfast, which are nicer than those from the bakeries in the nearby village. If you're a visitor to Jugon-les-Lacs you can reach Le Crousty along a lovely path from the Water Sports Centre and if you fancy a swim then the open air and covered pools are open to the general public in the afternoons.

We walked away from this restaurant in disgust! We had seen it at 12 oâclock and had even spoken with the lady about the menu of the day. We said we would return at 1.30 pm, which we did. The place was not half full. We took our place at a table and then waited, and waited, and waited. Despite trying to attract the attention of the same lady we had spoken to earlier, there was no attempt to offer us a menu or take an order for a drink. Perhaps the fact that we had spoken in English earlier or that we broke protocol by taking our place at a table without being shown was the reason. Whatever the reason we decided that waiting for plus twenty minutes was long enough and left. To have waited longer would have probably involved being rushed because they wanted to close at 2 pm. We would advise people to avoid the place if this is the standard of service you can expect.

Pleasant little creperie in Jurgon les Lacs. We had the savoury crepes (galettes) with ham, egg and cheese = very nice but the desert crepes were the highlight especially the home made carmel ice cream with home made chocolate sauce.
