Tues 6:30 reservation. It was early so place pretty empty. Greeted and seated by the bartender and a young woman who informed us this is her 1st day of training. They were both nice. I ordered a glass of wine and husband ordered a ginger ale. The trainee poured the wine ..much of it on the table. We were kind and didnt make a fuss. She cleaned it up. Had to ask for husbands ginger ale again. It was brought. Completely flat. Asked for another and the bartender brought it and said "opened up a fresh can for you". Why wasnt a fresh can poured the 1st time? This place is high end pricey. Please...fresh drink every time.Ordered apps. Raw oysters for me, lobster cocktail for husband. About 15 minute wait and out came MY order of oysters. Noticed ONE small lobster claw plopped on the tray with the oysters, just sitting there directly on the oyster ice...thought it was a little bonus for me. Waited a couple of minutes before asking where my husbands lobster cocktail was. Waiter pointed at the 3 inch claw on MY plate and said" it's right there" HUH? The menu listed the lobster cocktail as around $22.00. An unadorned claw comes. ..On MY plate!! For $22.00. When we complained another person (manager?) came to look and said "ok i"ll bring you the other half" Um..no thanks..we're outta here. Too much weirdness in first 20 minutes to trust the rest would be good.This experience went from us anticipating expensive but wonderful food and service to celebrate our anniversary to an unfunny joke.We left. At least I drank the glass of pretty good wine.Went to another Hastings restaurant on the river and had stellar ambiance, meal and service.

We having been going to this family owned restaurant for years. The food is always perfectly cooked; the service is absolutely wonderful and this restaurant is exceptionally clean. We occasionally venture and to try another establishment, but we always return to our most favorite place: Chez Madeleine Petit Paris!!

July 2019, came here with friends for lunch and sat in the backyard that was large with plenty of seating, and shade, with a nice bar. The food and service was great, with prices that are reasonable. We shared the Lobster Risotto, and the Mussels that came with a Bread Basket. They gave you a nice size portion of the Lobster Claw onto of the Risotto, and the Mussels had a nice Butter tasting broth. We past this restaurant many times when visiting Piermont and never realized there was beautiful outdoor seating in the back. We will remember this next time we are in the area to come here to eat.
