San Gennaro serves pretty good pizza and subs, although they don't seem to be Italian, much less Neapolitan, as their store's name would denote (he's the patron saint of Napoli, for those who may wonder). Obviously a near total Hispanic-Central American-Mexican staff, most of whom were a little noisy and rowdy (yelling out orders in Spanish) and some of whom were hard to understand in either English or Spanish. I could not get through to one caballero my very basic order of "two slices, one pepperoni, the other margherita," and ironically ordering the latter type is very close to the Spanish pronunciation of marguerita. Okay, so it's a take out eat a slice kind of pizza place and what do I expect after all. Much better slices elsewhere.

It's a nice place - not too far from home - with plenty of parking. It's quite a pretty place as well.No reservations for parties less than 8 so you might have to wait for a table. We were 5 and the wait was only about 5 or 6 minutes on a Saturday at 6:45 PM - not bad at all.The food was good - not great. Split a Caesar Salad with my lady - crispy greens boring croutons good dressing - not gloppy at all. For the main course she had Rigatoni Montanara which I thought was OK. I had the chicken sorrentino which was also OK. Neither had a lot of character. There was also a pizzeta margherita and a kid's serving of penne in pink sauce all OK - nothing great. The accompanying bread was not the usual Italian bread but a poofy presentation and it was absolutely terrific. Now for the bad part. The service was not very good. To describe it as slow would be generous. It was OK because we were all family but my 6 year old granddaughter got a little antsy waiting - in fact, she went to the ladies room twice before the meals was served. I ordered a glass of Chianti was was a pretty good one once it warmed to room temperature - it actually came out COLD. Bad bad bad - it's red wine and should not be served cold. I should have sent it back - don't know why I didn't.You need to know that the waiter does not serve the meal. They have trailers to do that. HINT TO MANAGER - if you must use a trailer, have the wait person indicate which seat gets which plate. I don't appreciate the trailer standing at one end of the table a shouting "who gets the rigatoni" or "who gets the pizza" and then handing it to the Customer instead of bringing to him and putting it down. It diminishes the experience greatly. The other bad part is that the busboys are constantly trying to remove the bread plates and the silverware whether on not the meal has been served. I actually told one busboy not to come back until we were all done eating.I realize that Lombardo's is not a "fine dining" establishment but for goodness sake, just a little extra training for the busboys and wait staff will go a long long way to enhancing the experience.The dinners are priced between $18 and $24. Not "cheap eats" but not expensive either.

Aug 2019, came here for the first time to pickup two large size Thin Crust Pizzaâs - one Cheese and one Margarita, and Meatballs (3) to bring them over to a friends house. Both pies were delicious, however I loved the Margarita Pie the best because it had more homemade Tomato Sauce on it. We also ordered the Meatballs that came in a delicious homemade Tomato sauce, these meatballs were moist, and fresh, we loved them. Honestly, we loved everything. I cannot say a bad word about this place. I know I will be back especially since I pass this play on my way home from work.

This pizza was served at a party given locally. Everyone gobbled up the pizza. I don't eat pizza but the empty boxes shows that they loved it. We have also served it in our home and the family has given it a thumbs up.

Crisp, light crust, savory/sweet sauce and exquisite, fresh cheese is a sure recipe for delicious pizza. But Frank Pepe beats the others in that it's always baked just right. We come here often and enjoy the delectable pies with mushrooms or other toppings. Go here!

It's a small neighborhood restaurant family run with amazing food and great service!The pizza is incredible if that's all you want. The food is fresh and delicious! They serve homemade rolls that come right out of the oven. The salads are very generous as well as the plates of food. They only serve beer and wine along with soda. It's a must try. I almost regret writing this review cause I've never waited for a table :), but they deserve the recognition. The special appetizer almond crusted Shrimp in a chili aioli sauce was yummy! I forgot to take a picture of our pasta dishes, it was papadella with mushrooms and fresh mozzarella and I had gnocchi in a five cheese sauce. Absolutely delicious!!!! A must go to!!! Small but amazing!

So what does Threshold mean? My colleague asked for an outdoor seat, but they only have two, but two other tables are right at the facade and half in and half outdoors. What a perfect night to have a pie, drink a couple of beers and watch the neighborhood go by. We had the brussel sprout app, which was awesome.

It is because of the Top Four podcast with Marco and Tiffany Armet that we came here. This place has some of their favorite pizza. We flew into Newark from Atlanta. Got our rental car and drove straight to Slices. We couldn't remember which ones they liked, so we asked the owner. He confirmed that Marco is a regular and rattled off the three Marco usually orders: margharita, chicken/broccoli, and BBQ chicken. We got a slice each of the first two. They were very tasty. The crust was just right for chewing and there was plenty of chicken to go around. Do what the podcast tells you. Go here. Eat a good slice of pizza. Be full for a while. And then you'll have to go someplace else for entertainment, because by 4:00pm Hastings-on-Hudson rolls up the sidewalks.

Had dinner at this old italian restaurant staple in Dobbs Ferry.It was worth it. The food was brought out hot and ready to eat.Everything we had was excellent and we would easily go back.I must say the ambiance could use a major overhaul.The italian cheese cake was the best for desert/oh yes, one more thing- clams casino was made with too much breading and not enough garlic or clams.

Party of 3 on a weekday night. Place was full but we were seated promptly. First thing you notice is the noise. Everyone talking loudly but donât let this stop you from eating here. The food is very good. The portions are large. The service is good. The prices are very reasonable.
