Quick-ish lunch here I a weekend to watch the Tour de France. Super menu du jour with pork entrecote followed by tarte Tatum. Fabulous.

Second visit here. On a Saturday when the cheaper " Menu du jour " is not available. The restaurant was nearly full. Always a good sign !! The chosen set menu for â¬20 which covered 3 courses was excellent. We can now see the difference between the cheaper week day menus and this. We left feeling that we had had the best midday meal in the 14 months we have been in France and have no hesitation in awarding it 5 stars. Bon appetit !!

I was really looking forward to our meal with a large group of friends. It has a very good name locally but the meal was very ordinary. The presentation of the food was adequate but the taste was very ordinary considering the price.

A small, potentially intimate place with a short menu but allowing for seasonal and market changes. The food was creative and original. Very good: for example excellent asparagus with high quality olive oil, dill weed and bits of toasted cheese, like the religieuse you get at the end of a fondu. Definitely something new to me. As was a "burger" made from duck meat and topped with foie-gras! The waitress recommended a Southwestern wine (Terrises, Gaillac) which was definitely good to try, very nice. My only downside would be that the waitress could have been a little more expansive in her manners, a touch more friendly and open but maybe that is the French style. Nothing wrong, I just would have preferred a bit more warmth, as one is used to in the Midi.

We had a lovely dinner here! Boeuf (filet mignon) was perfect, the fish of the day was a wonderfully prepared salmon, and our friends had the chicken with a lovely creamy coconut milk(?) and ginger sauce, and a wonderful appetizer plate of gazpacho, bruschetta, and a layered tomato/creme fresh/ricotta/chive offering. Wow. Then came dessert.... chocolate mousse with a caramel bottom layer on top of a liquid chocolate layer. Double wow. The service was great. The woman who seemed like the proprietor treated us like royalty especially after learning that it was our anniversary. Such a pleasant evening. Highly recommended, and the best dinner we had in Foix!

My food was ok. Noting exceptional. One of our group used passable French to our waitress who responded by. speaking more quickly, making no eye contact and deliberately looking away, all whilst wearing a t shirt saying bored. A gorgeous irony indeed. Gorgeous however could not be applied to the food. We were recommended the place by friends. Clearly they didn't like us .I wouldn't go back unless forced.

On the day visited this was one of the few restaurants open. Don't know why. Must have been one of those obscure French holiday days !!. We chose the a la Carte menu and wanting to be adventurous I chose something I had never ordered before. Didn't have a clue what was coming !! Bad choice ....it was offal. I couldn't eat it and left the plate full. The waiter was insistant that I choose something else so I went safely for a steak which was excellent. Surprising they did not charge me for the offal. Well recommended and bon appetit !!

We live locally and have not visited this cafe / restaurant since new owners took over the previous cafe / tea shop. We ordered glacè cafe latte's and cookies. The latte's were very good the cookies from a local supplier (my husband ordered a second one). Staff very pleasant and welcoming. We'll try lunch on our next visit.... but do go along if in Foix much more pleasant than the cafés located on the Cours Gabriel Fourè.

The restaurant "La Ciboulette" has opened its doors after a long period of renovation to invite you to travel far away and not so far. Only 2 km from the centre of Foix, in the direction of St Pierre-de-Riviere, its peace and quiet will seduce you. With p
Freshly prepared good food. If you are in a hurry do not go to this restaurant as food prepared with fresh produce takes a little time. Crevettes were a little spicy and wonderful and the Dorade Royale was beautifully cooked. Coffe of excellent quallity. Good quality potato. Toilet was spotless and of good size. I will definitely go back for another enjoyable meal.

Restaurant of Franco-Persian specialties prepared with fresh products and all being homemade.
A lovely gem of French-Persian food that is not too expensive. One of the unique features is that they don't have a set menu, they use whatever is fresh that day. The service is friendly and attentive, although waiting times may be a little longer due to fresh preparation. So worth the wait. Hello Linda W. Many thanks for taking the time to give us your appreciation. As you so rightly point out, we prepare each day with everything fresh and according to our inspiration and what we find ! Glad you found our "gem" worth the visit and as for the wait, we have taken on another waiter to speed up the service.Merci encore et à très bientôt de vous revoir aux 1001 Nuits.
