Dined here twice in a recent visit in May. On both occasions the food was very good and the service excellent. Very reasonably priced also.

Finally decided to try Foodshop after walking past the window on numerous occasions throughout the last few years. The menu seemed very promising, with something that everyone in the family took a fancy for. However the food that arrived certainly didn't meet our expectations. I can't speak on behalf of everyone else's tastes, but personally I found my meal to be very mediocre. The "simple burger" looked lovely and sounded lovely in theory, but the actual meat was very dry and crumbled, which made the actual eating of the burger a very awkward process. The next point in relation to the food is the service, asked for some ketchup and by the time the waiter actually brought it over my burger was nearly done. Very slow service! which is inexcusable seeing as the restaurant was no where near full. The dessert was a complete travesty, myself and my sister decided on the white chocolate and caramel mousse, what arrived was mostly Chantilly cream with an overly sweet passion fruit (perhaps? not mentioned on menu) sauce. Far too sweet and just generally not very nice, and for it being described as a white chocolate mousse... it didn't taste of white chocolate at all. I would be willing to try this place again in hope of a better experience but not so sure anyone else in the family feels the same. Perhaps this was just a bad night for Foodshop. Tant pis.

We visited several times during our week in Cherrueix.Very warm welcome from the owners who took over 18 months ago. Nice locals bar with small restaurant and sun terrace. A choice of set menu lunch,all day snacks and evening a la carte (closes at 8.00 pm if quiet, but will stay open later if people are dining). Excellent cooking - I had one of the best fish dishes (cabillaud) I have ever had in 40 years of visiting France. Lovely duck and steaks also. Not to be missed if you are in this area!

We have been meaning to book a restaurant especially for New year's eve for many years. Last night we attended our first "reveillon " in France.The meal was excellent in every way, restaurant was looking beautifully festive with fresh flowers on every table. The advertised menu at â¬47.50 delivered at every course from the welcoming kir Grabotais to the fine selection of mini desserts just before midnight.I loved the fois gras plate and was fascinated to watch the very professional patron cook steak for 43 guests on a roaring open fire. Praise also to the owner who accommodated my daughter's request for vegetarian options in place of the advertised fish and meat.Overall a great night was had by all, highly recommended at any time of the year but particularly welcoming in Winter where the locals were as friendly as the owner and his young staff member. The vin du moment was also very good quality and reasonably priced.We will definitely be back.

We've been coming here for the last 15+ years, and it's our favourite by far. The staff are still the same, friendly and serving great food at a very reasonable cost. Entertainment is supplied by the parrot and the whole ambiance is delightfully different. Also an obviously popular with the locals, always a good sign.Well worth a visit.

if you want a genuine galette/crepe from Brittany made In the genuine french way this is the place to go. very friendly service with a smile and beautiful choice of savory and sweet dishes. then trundle up the hill for one of the most marvelous view over the valley ot the sea. Well worth the detour!

A Gem of a restaurant off the main street but as usual food & service were excellent. 4 of us ate the plate of the day and bill with wine was 75 euros. If you are in the area get there early as it fills up with locals very quickly.

Having explored the old town of Dol and the interesting cathedral, our little folk were feeling decidedly peckish. We four adults needed a break too! We were delighted to discover this traditional French creperie - the staff were very welcoming and we were ushered into the cellar area. The table was perfect for the four adults and two children - lots of space and a lovely atmospheric ambiance. We sampled and shared a variety of savoury and sweet dishes; lingered over good coffee and thoroughly enjoyed the informal dining experience.

This restaurant is simply outstanding, from the incredible service, the charming atmosphere to the stunning dishes. We had seen the restaurant from the road and something about it seemed special. We were not wrong. We drove by at lunch and booked a table for that evening. Greeted by Romain, we just knew this would be an experience. We opted for the three courses, combined with the wine choices.The amuse bouche was a quenelle of fois gras dusted with cocoa on an onion tart - wow. The starters we had were the sander with raw vegetables and the beef marinated in calvados. Each course was described in charming detail by Romain's partner as were the wines. The starters were amazing. Main courses of Hake ( the fish of the day) with fermented vegetables and lamb with puy lentils was simply a triumph. The hake had accents of citrus and the vegetables a wonderful taste and texture. The lamb was melt in the mouth delicious. We opted for cheese for desert and were delighted to be given a panna cotta of goat's cheese with an orange powder, hazelnut crumb with crispy mustard leaves. Again adjectives fail to do the food justice. The dishes are a work of art for the eyes, however the true art is that the flavours are magnificent as well. A winning combination. Having eaten in some of the best restaurants around the world, this is up there with them. We wish Romain and team the very best. You deserve it !

Our host recomended this jewel of a restaurant and made a reservation for us (which is advisable, even on a weekday). The food was great, the atmosphere cosy and vivid, the service attentive. The view on the ocean was fantastic especially during sunset. A perfect evening, thank you!
