Having seen the reviews on Trip Advisor, we decided to visit this restaurant during last week's visit to Brittany. After our first visit we kept going back...great food, extremely reasonable prices and, of course the Host.....warm, welcoming and always extremely busy as he was also responsible for grilling the delicious food over an open fire. On our first visit, unfortunately, my husband was taken ill during the evening (he's just finished cancer treatment and is still suffering the after effects ) and was unable to eat his ordered Tarte Tatin (much to his later disappointment) We decided to go back and give it another try and on our arrival the host's first words were to ask Mac if he felt better (we were touched and a little amazed that he should remember us, given how busy the place is). Still that was another lovely evening (complete with the Tarte Tatin).....we booked for Friday evening and mentioned that it was my birthday (I've had so many I've almost given up counting)...I was welcomed with a glass of champagne - we enjoyed another truly great meal and my dessert arrived complete with birthday candle. Thank you so much for making our stay in Brittany heaps better than we'd expected and my birthday a real joy.

Finally decided to try Foodshop after walking past the window on numerous occasions throughout the last few years. The menu seemed very promising, with something that everyone in the family took a fancy for. However the food that arrived certainly didn't meet our expectations. I can't speak on behalf of everyone else's tastes, but personally I found my meal to be very mediocre. The "simple burger" looked lovely and sounded lovely in theory, but the actual meat was very dry and crumbled, which made the actual eating of the burger a very awkward process. The next point in relation to the food is the service, asked for some ketchup and by the time the waiter actually brought it over my burger was nearly done. Very slow service! which is inexcusable seeing as the restaurant was no where near full. The dessert was a complete travesty, myself and my sister decided on the white chocolate and caramel mousse, what arrived was mostly Chantilly cream with an overly sweet passion fruit (perhaps? not mentioned on menu) sauce. Far too sweet and just generally not very nice, and for it being described as a white chocolate mousse... it didn't taste of white chocolate at all.
I would be willing to try this place again in hope of a better experience but not so sure anyone else in the family feels the same. Perhaps this was just a bad night for Foodshop. Tant pis.

Been here for both lunch and dinner on a number of occasions and have been pleased with all visits, Fabulous for lunches - good value and authentic set meals and they do the best gallettes in the area. Full of regular locals and business men ( the local fire crew came in for lunch one day ), it has a great atmosphere and amazing service from the main man and an assistant.Meat from the fire is excellent.
Just love the place and a visit to Dol would not be the same without a meal or two here

As another reviewer said, a beautiful restaurant on the beach in France, what more could one want apart from great staff and excellent food and that's exactly what we got. The starters were superb, as was the main course and desserts. All served by friendly staff who created such a great atmosphere which added to our whole experience. We would highly recommend this great restaurant and look forward to getting back next year!

I cannot understand the reviews telling that it is a good RESTAURANT. We were there with a baby and we were located in the "children room" that is like a big horrible room with the most horrible light I have ever seen, sat at a big and shared table (Our guilt was to have a four month slept baby). We accepted because there wasn't any other restaurants opened.
And the food...excuse me, the galette, because the menu was only crepes! Average crepes! Is that the fourth best restaurant? OMG! Even the wine was too bad...

We have been coming here for many years and it seems that it has changed hands recently. Fortunately, the new owners have maintained the standard of food and service. A lovely restaurant for lunch (have not been at night) with a varied menu including steaks and fish as well as the usual galette options. Set menus offer very good value.

Visited this place whilst on holiday with my family. The service was okay, not much English spoken but that's fine - we are in France! There was only one gentleman working in the shop/restaurant when we visited and it was off putting as he kept sitting outside to smoke between serving us and other customers.
Food was quickly served and it was average to be honest. I opted for chicken tikka masala which did not taste as I had expected it to but it was pleasant enough.
It's okay for a cheap quick meal but not worthy of any more than 3/5.

Me, my partner the petit monsieur stopped at the Burger house for a quick bite after we had been traipsing around the street market. The place is situated off a little courtyard, just off the main street.
I had a damn fine Bacon cheeseburger with what looked like triple cooked fries. Delicious! My mouth waters at the thought of it.
The GF had a vegetarian burger. This wasn't a veggie burger as such but a mixture of egg, cheese, salad and pickles. She is normally fussy but she liked her burger a lot as well.
The petit monsieur is fussy as well and wont eat burgers. So we asked if we could get a gallete from somewhere else and bring it in. The waitress had no problem with that and so we did. Imagine the horror of trying that in England lol!
We paid 19euros for meal and drinks. Bout the same as a wetherspoons!
So to sum up. Nice little place with nice staff that does great burgers! mmmmm

We make a pilgrimage to this restaurant whenever we are in Brittany and also recommend it to friends who are passing this way. The lunchtime menu is very good and the food is cooked to perfection. The chef always has time to great customers and the staff are very friendly and efficient. Will return next year..

After taking some photos at the Cancale oyster market, we decided to continue down the coast to buy our oysters. So glad we did!!
Easy to find roadside restaurant with great views, service and oysters. We ordered the "promotion" which was 9 category #1 oysters for 10€. Lemon and bread were provided. Oysters were huge and succulent. There is a small shop across the road which sells locale products as well.
