Stopped for coffee at Mas Peyre and ended up having an excellent wine tasting. Children were also included in the wine tasting with raisin juice to try. The organic wine, produced by the owners, has won many prizes and was very good. In the end we spent a good hour here and left with two bottles of their dessert wine (one white, one red, â¬18 a bottle) â these were the wines we liked the most during the tasting. As well as selling Wine, Mas Peyre also functions as a Bistro and an organic grocery store. Prices for food and drink were very reasonable.

This tiny restaurant provides simple food all home made with ingredients coming from the surrounding farms, mostly organic; all was very fresh, healthy and delightful. The welcome and the service were very friendly. I recommand it warmly for a stop after or before visiting the Cathar castles of Peyrepertuse and Quéribus.

I ate here twice with two colleagues on consecutive nights in early July 2014 (alas there is not a lot to choose from in St Paul de Fenouillet). This place is excellent. Really good, slightly elaborately presented, but carefully prepared food. For starters, I had an excellent vegetable terrine on one occasion and a delicious tuna tartare the second time. Their steaks are simply superb - really excellent beef, obviously from a happy animal! They also have a good selection of local wines from the Agly coop, which I recommend to try. Overall, a friendly place and excellent value for money.

As we decided in june 2016 never go back to this restaurant. We wanted to try it again due to some positive reviews we saw As we went there at least once a month while the Belgian couple owned the restaurant. We love to eat truit. So we went there again. The starter 1/2 foot of a pig in vinegar with salad. The salad and the dressing were good but the half food of the pig contained hardly any meat. As pork feet are very cheap you wonder why give a half foot. The trout was big enough compared to the first time when they took over the restaurant but the preparation was terrible the fish was drowned in oil and you could hardly eat the fish total. If you like fat foot you should go there if not then STAY AWAY.je trouve votre note aussi terrible que votre comportement, et si j'avais su, j'aurais mis vos lunettes retrouvées sur la table à la poubelle..votre opinion sur le fait de conseiller aux personnes de ne pas se rendre au rebenty et aussi pitoyable !! en premier lieu tout est fait maison y compris les pieds de cochon et ce n'est pas par rapport au cout, n'y au marge, mais tout simplement qu'il est très rare de les trouver dans les restaurant (et surtout fait maison et local !!) et leur temps de cuisson nécessite 5 heures de cuisson !! et pour la truite elle était non seulement fraîche mais cuisinée au beurre et non à l'huile !! alors apprenez à manger, à apprécier les saveurs et surtout si vous prenez vos vacances en France, laissez donc de coté vos ''piètres '' habitues alimentaire de votre plat pays.. de plus c'est un menu à 26 euros avec tout compris.. franchement Monsieur et Madame passez votre chemin la prochaine fois et allé donc manger des produits surgelés qui vous conviendront mieux .. avoir du palais n'est pas donné forcément à tout le monde

Restaurant Aux Quatre Saisons has a friendly atmosphere and is lit only by candlelight at night which bounces off the old stone walls. There is a south facing shaded sun terrace for outside dining. Run by a husband and wife team, Paul cooks and Val serves
On a birthday celebration day out, our family group of nine travelled to Axat on Le Train Rouge. Based on some family members' previous experience, we booked lunch at Restaurant Aux Quatre Saisons. From the moment of arrival, until departure, the owners were so welcoming and friendly. The service throughout the meal was outstanding - attentive, professional, and responsive.Every dish and every item served was fabulous. The tasty amuse-bouche got the meal off to a great start, and the entire party were delighted with all the lunch dishes they selected. A good selection of delicious desserts complemented the whole meal, with the special Happy Birthday dessert and candle being much appreciated. Not only was the entire meal fantastic, but also was outstanding value.Thank you to Paul and Val for a memorable lunch experience.A thoroughly recommended restaurant.

They are already listed in the French "Guide Routard" and Guide Hachette. We've been going there for 15 years. Cute little country restaurant.
What we love about this restaurant is the passion the chef has for sourcing all his food locally. He grows many of the vegetables he serves and his cassoulet beans are heavenly especially when served with wild boar. The fois gras, served with bread from the local baker, is the best I have ever eaten. Be aware that if the patron starts to enthuse about his honey you may end up spending more than you intended. Best to go at lunchtime rather than in the evening unless you don't mind a challenging drive along narrow unlit country lanes. Otherwise well worth the drive to get there.

The restaurant is a delight. Small menu because products are fresh, and prepared daily. My main - meal fresh pike, beautifully cooked and presented 9.5/10 (only because I found 4 bones in the fish). Helen 10/10 lovely cooked veal more like steaks than escallopes. The meals, including self service breakfast, are delicious and we would reccommend anyone to stay for at least one night just to sample the cooking of an exceptional chef. Must add that the cheese trolley is also of outstanding quality, the server knew his cheeses, they were all mature and heavenly to eat.BOOKING essentialService is courteous, and efficient AND (some Brits take note) service is at a speed appropriate for Fine Dining

We went to l'Emotion moved by so many good comments in Tripadvisor. It could't be wrong and it was just perfect. Completely full on Saturday night. We were lucky to find a table for 8. We ordered the menu at 22â¬! Food was amazing. The owner of this little restaurant manages the bar, the restaurant, all the customer tables and he even had time to teach our kids to play darts. There is also a football table to make your waiting more pleasant. You should not be in a hurry. It is a place to enjoy your stay and meal. Salads were great, scrambled eggs very special and meat delicious. We had beef steak and lamb brochettes. Kids had hamburger and french fries. Desserts like panna cotta with nutella or ananas with banana ice cream were a success.Highly recommendable!

We visited in the evening, the restaurant looked very inviting. The meal was average and the service was disappointing. The waiter asked many guests if they were happy with their meal, we were not asked, and he was completely uninterested and unapologetic about the piece of plastic found in my meal. A simple apology would have resulted in a second visit from us and a recommendation to friends......we will not return and will definitely not be recommending this restaurant.
