Le Treport has a sizeable selection of tempting looking restaurants along its harbourside. Ignore them all and continue to the end, turn the corner and instead choose this small restaurant opposite the casino. The â¬17.50 menu (note: only available before 21.00) is stupendous value. We started with fish soup - a generous portion and properly hot (so often its served tepid and the cheese doesn't melt). We followed with fresh and succulent skate. Desserts were also delicious.As the meal was so cheap we treated ourselves to a more expensive bottle of wine than normal; picking the Quincy. This was absolutely gorgeous sauvignon blanc at its best and a perfect accompaniment to the fish we had chosen.As we walked back to our hotel we noticed that although our restaurant had been packed, none of the competition down the harbourside was more than half full. That tells you everything.

Eu is a small village where ti's hard to find a restaurant which serves fresh affordable food in a cosy atmosphere. Le college has that all, very friendly people who prepare and serve the food with passion. They also make at least a friendly efford to speak another language. We had a great time. Try all the different desserts, JUMMY!

We arrived in Le Treport around dinertime and decided to go for diner straight away. We noticed this place on TA and didnât hesitate for a second. The staff was really friendly as we tried our best French and they tried their best English. The food was perfect and the best part: everything was homemade and fresh (you could definitely taste that!). We had the entrecote (with a beautiful pepper sauce) and the Cob burger with currysauce (fantastic!). Thank you for the great first night in France!! Definitely coming back someday!

This restaurant is just round the corner from the main attractions of Eu, very close to the central square, Cathedral and Castle. It is, as its name suggests, directly opposite the post office, so that if you canât find it, you need just ask for âLa Posteâ. The restaurant is pleasantly decorated in deep red and tends to fill up with locals as its menus represent very good value. The basic âformuleâ costs just 12.50⬠for three courses. The first is a help yourself buffet including many different salads, charcuterie, marinaded fish plus fresh bread and butter, almost a meal in itself. There were some six or eight main courses and the same number of desserts to choose from; I had the poached trout with lemon sauce and was offered duchesse potatoes, chips or rice as accompaniments. Desserts were cheese, various tarts & pies or crème caramel. Everything was attractively presented and service was speedy and attentive. At 12.50⬠(£9) I felt this was a real bargain. There are obviously also several more pricey menus for those with more sophisticated palates and/or larger wallets than mine. Noted: the single dishes may work out no cheaper than the 3-course menus.I may also add in conclusion that the toilets were nicely decorated in pale blue with seaside motifs, large and spotlessly clean.

We stayed at the hotel and had dinner there on our first evening.We had the most expensive menu 52 euros for 4 courses a bottle of Rose wine was 29 euro, expensive compared to other restaurants in the area where we paid approximately 16 euro per bottle.The food was very good with oysters, lamb, sole, a cheese course and puddingsLOVELY FRIENDLY STAFF! Some "characters" are running the place, no doubt few customers might be surprised by their attitude but most of them will have a delicious time there.The food is wonderful, this is the place that makes French food so gorgeous. Presentation, flavour, taste ... everything deserves 5 real stars from your taste buds. You'll enjoy every bites....Of course you might feel that you ate too much because you just can't resist ... But the chef will reassure you with his famous line: " don't worry tomorrow you'll be hungry"

Great, relaxed meal with friends. Nice atmosphere that could handle, couples, families and groups of friends. Amazing panoramic view from the window seats. Book early and time it to see the sun set over the sea. Seemed to me like an authentic, local, non-touristy, small town restaurant. Staff didn't speak much English but I liked that. Take a dictionary, some common sense, or smart phone to decipher the menu.

The food is incredibly expensive for very average quality. The service is absolutely awful, the two owner-brothers couldn't have been less accommodating or less friendly. To the extent that the argument almost escalated. If you want to experience the worst of French hospitality and service, this is the restaurant for you. In fact you will notice that the owners only replied to the positive comments on trip advisor.Dear Sir , Your comment is complementary to the trddrt pseudonym brussels. You go to a French seaside resort - you expect good French fish cuisine. The place to find it is at the Salicorne. Only a limited choice, but so much the better for that. Excellent presentation and some unusual ingredients. The desserts are pretty good too. Perhaps slightly more expensive than the average restaurant, but well worth the extra.Not too many tables, so it's worthwhile making a booking.
