U have to order from desk and they deliver no service. Guy back entrance is stressed and confused. They don't serve food then it is ready. Food there back desk and getting cold. Onion rings were soft and bad fried.Pizza was cold.Nacho with cheese were served cold .

Bestilte to stk «veganske falaffelburgere» da en av oss er svært allergisk mot spesielt egg. Da vi fikk maten etter meget lang venting serverte de den med aioli (egg). Krise at de ansatte ikke engang vet hva de har på menyen. Da de ansatte ble konfrontert med dette svarer de enkelt: «det vet jeg ikke hvordan vi skal løse». Etter mye om og men får vi servert en ny burger, nå uten aioli. Skuffende og trasig cafébesøk. Kommer ikke til å gjentas, og ville ikke anbefalt dette videre. Maten var ålreit, derav 2/5.

The food was great and it has the best selection of local beer (Lofotpils) I have seen in any bar, but the real cool thing was the place itself. Very cool design and feel. Lounge is a good way to describe it. Just a very chill hang out. The dried cod and the rough interior really sets the mood. And perfect with some dry cod snacks, Lofotpils and street food.

Best tasting coffee in Svolvær, quiet and cosy place, rustic and simple. Need to organise sugar, cutlery and water in a better way. But you feel at home here! Nice cafe.

We went to the place (wife and sister in law). For lunch and service was insanely bad ! Staff formed by VERY unprofessional âteenagersâ giving you a snobbish look like if they were doing you a favor. Donât even dare asking to switch tables for any reason otherwise they will look at you like if you were asking for free food. We actually made the mistake of asking since the sunlight was too strong in our direction. Problem is: according to them, we ordered before moving tables so the new table number wasnât âmatchingâ with the first table when we orderd our food so they cancelled it ! The host actually seated us at the new table so they were quite aware of it ! Obviously after this episode, we cancelled everything and left the place ! My thoughts: I understand that Svolvær during summer time can get crowded and this place looks very sofisticated and nice indeed although you pay a very high price for it but if you really care for having a good treatment and service, do yourself a favor and avoid the place !

there are two dinning options: a bar and a retaurantwe wanted to try something special so we went for the restauranta very nice and semi-formal atmosphere. very good and tentative service. the waiter helped us to choose and his recommendations were perfect.a very good place to try norwagian food

Warmly welcomed by the staff. Helped me with my pizza selection and let me taste the wine before deciding. My husband chose the beef bolognese. All was very good and would recommend for a nice relaxed casual meal with decent prices. It does get very crowded with large tour/travel groups. We gladly sat at the bar in very comfortable bar stools. They do take reservations.

Booked a table online for my wifes birthday. Food was exellent. Had the gulasj for starter, stockfish for main and the pistasio dessert. Everything was perfect. One of the best stockfish dishes in lofoten.Portion size is good and we left full and happy:)Added comment about wanting a candle on the dessert when booking. This restaurant was a fine dining choice for a first evening in Lofoten as it offers local specialties, beautifully prepared, in a scenic/rustic dining room that resembles a dressed up, oldtime public house with fireplace, antique decorations and cabinetry. Please note! there seem to be at least two, possibly three, different eateries in this same building. The Kjøkkenet is the fine dining restaurant downstairs.Since the local specialty was cod, we tried different variations of cod dishes and were generally very pleased. I can recommend the fried cod tongues (like a softer, fattier but tastier batter-fried fish). Also the stockfish (reconstituted dry cod) was remarkable in taste and texture but it must be eaten with copious amounts of bacon to balance the flavours. I would avoid the mustard sauce as it overpowers all other flavourings.We found the service to be excellent. Every question about the food and preparation was answered expertly. The ambience was authentic and charming. And even though the food was very good, I would have to attenuate my rating based on value. I understand that we were in a popular restaurant during high tourist season but prices were slightly north of normal market. I suppose it is what the market will bear and we had free choice.Overall, I would recommend Kjøkkenet as one of the three best restaurants in Svolvær, especially if you want authentic local food. Splash out on an experience.
