We have a meal at lâOrtolan every year we stay near Arras. Our campsite owner recommended this restaurant and made our first booking for us many years ago. Sylvia is an excellent front-of- house and her husband Frank creates and produces the superb meals. We usually have an evening meal, but this year had lunch, which was equally excellent. The restaurant was full, which tells you more about it than I could here. There is an a la carte menu, but we always have one of the fixed menus. The quality, flavour and presentation of the food is always fantastic. I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation to everyone.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant and insisted we booked in advance. It was very quiet when we arrived but quickly saw why booking is necessary. The food was very good and reasonably priced, service reasonably prompt and decor quirky.

This little restaurant is opposite the theatre. It is quirky and very French. The staff seemed to consist of the manager and a single young waitress. Although they did not speak English they were helpful. When we walked in we saw a man eating steak and chips. It looked delicious and we decided to have the same. Good choice - it was tender and tasty. Both sauces: pepper and cheese, were very nice. Bit disappointed with the dessert. We chose ice cream, which we'd seen topped with Chantilly cream (like our squirty cream) but we didn't have cream on ours, and creme brûlée, which wasn't the best. Still, we enjoyed it and would probably go again. The toilets are on the same level but a bit cramped and the ladies I'd right next to the open area of the gents, and you share a sink to wash your hands.

Staying at IBIS hotel in Douai, this pub is at a mere 2' walk. The pub offers local dishes such as beef stew, etc. Nevertheless, according to our standards, it is slightly underperforming considering its "excellence" award from tripadvisor. The meat we ordered was ok even though the quantity of Potjesvleesch was limited but the vegetables were apparently coming from a tin can... There are three beers on tap: an unknown lager, a local ambrée and a tripel beer Averbode, from the Delirium brewery.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Air Accueil. The ambience was calm and relaxed and tables very well spread out. Staff were polite and friendly, avoiding the military formality verging on haughty subservience often experienced in high-end french restaurants.The 'carte' offered very good value 'menus' as well as an extensive a la carte which meant we both felt spoilt for choice of interesting and seasonal ingredients.My partner's highlight was her Carpaccio Lotte (Monkfish) despite being no great fan of raw fish and was similarly impressed by the quality and presentation of her sole. I was a little disappointed at the lack of character of my pork which I also felt had been cooked a little too long.However, the boudin noir and slice of andouilette were perfect accompaniments.The wine list was extensive and had something for all budgets. Finally, the cheese trolley, though not exotic, offered a respectable range of local and regional examples. And for 7 euros, very good value for money!I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Air Accueil. It is well deserving of a Michelin star and look forward to returning in the future.

This is an excellent pub/restaurant. We went there twice. Both time we had different experience hence not rated highly as the place deserve. First time we visited on our first day. We had bad experience with waiter Stephane. Firstly he seated us in crammed area when the restaurant was empty. He was not helpful at all. We asked for menu in English but he told us that they donât have one. Luckily a fellow diner from England translated the menu for us and we managed a good meal. He had such an unhelpful attitude that we decided not to return.But return we did second time. This time we were greeted with very pleasant and cheerful (smiling) waiter Ameline. She went out of her way to help us. We managed to get a menu in English and seated were we wanted to. It made our dining experience very pleasant.This restaurant is the best in the area âcos we went around checking the others before decided to come back second time. It was very busy on Friday evening. It has very good atmosphere and decor. There are plentiful seating outside and inside. Oh the beer choice is excellent as it is brewed on site. All the dishes seems to have theme with beer. I would recommend this place.

This is a group, so this is particulary unpersonnal food. The carte is the same in every restaurant.Nevertheless, the staff is particulary helpfull with clients, the terasse is nice when sunny.Prices "a la carte" are a bit expensive, but menus are good value for money.

We did not have a reservation but it is better to make an online reservation. Friendly crew and excellent appetizer platter to share. Enough free parking and dog friendly!
