Curry is great and so is everything else; the owner and his plentyful family are absolutely amazing and super fun! Shots are terrible but you'll have them anyways because Steve's charming and u won't have the heart to say no! The spot on the river, surrounded by nature, is so dreamy you'll have a hard time leaving.Do yourself a favour and pay them a visit... A lunch will also buy you an insider guide to the island! Pros: Nice setting, comfy seats availabe, good WiFi, clean facilities, friendly staff, eco friendly (re-usable straws) Cons: average food I would revist as maybe we just ordered badly or came on an off day and the coffee was nice. You need either google or weeze to find this restaurant because it does not have a signage on top unlike other restaurants. They do have a sign in front. But the trouble in finding it is nothing once you try their food. I had hunter's schitzel and cake. The meat was juicy, no MSG & simply delicious. Black Forest Hut is not your usual restaurant, its unassuming, not imposing, and offers honest good food. Not overly salty nor sweet. When you come here, you pay for the food not the fancy counters and bright lights, which is the point of dining.

We had their buffet lunch and were not disappointed. They had a salad bar, a couple of soups (I tried the butternut squash, it was great), three or four main dishes and dessert. None of the dishes seemed German, though, it was Filipino staples like mechado, bistek tagalog, rice, etc... The homemade gelato was superb! Decor is nice and staff is attentive.
