The municipality comprises the towns of Heist-aan-Zee, Knokke, Duinbergen, Ramskapelle and Westkapelle. On January 1, 2006 Knokke-Heist had a total population of 34,063. The total area is 56.44 km² which gives a population density of 603 inhabitants per km². Knokke-Heist is located along the North Sea in a polder area on the Belgian border with the Netherlands. It is Belgium’s best-known and most affluent seaside resort.

Great friendly restaurant serving a variety of quality dishes cooked in an open plan cuisine visible to dinners, had a great steak that cut like butter, drinks till late with the friendly bar staff.. will visit again

I was here with a group and the service was brilliant as was the food. Fresh flavoursome and varied menu. Staff very attentive and the ambience was good. It was not expensive but it was a classy menu......The portions are not huge but were enough for us but may not suit a teenager.....loved it.

Knokke being a upper-class beach city, dinner options are pretty much split between high-end and tourists traps. De Savoye has a central location, close to the Lippenslaan. It is familiy-owned from what I gathered.Dishes were quite subtle. I was happily surprised with the quality, although quantities were on the small side, not to say minimal. Service was friendly and even sometimes witty. The chef took a few minutes to come talk to us about some of the specialties as he walked around, hopping between tables.One thing struck me though, it's the patrons. All the clients were very classically dressed, typical of that good belgian bourgeoisie that likes to spend two weeks on the coast in the summer. Men in polo with blazers, grannies in Chanel with their tri-lingual grand-daughters and so on. I figured that De Savoye is especially tailored to cater this fancy society. A bit boring to watch after a while but I guess I was the one wrong fish in that bowl.Hartelijk dank voor de heel mooie beoordeling.Groeten De Savoye Ignace

We came here for lunch - and we were really impressed. The service was faultless, even down to going off menu to cater for our children. Lovely restaurant with some great food - delicious carrot soup and incredible open sandwich of goats cheese, apple and honey. Delightful and strongly recommended.

You will not find it walking around.We were invited by friends and it was a culinary experience. Creative product cuisine at a good price/quality relation.Friendly personnel and an attractive wine card.The acoustic could improve, but that is the only minus of our visit.

This is by far our favourite restaurant in Knokke and surroundings. The house and mill are truly beautiful as well as the very tasteful decorations. The staff is very busy but always friendly. We always eat the contrefilet or the Entrecote. The formula of chasing your own side dishes and sauces is really nice and everything is home made and very fresh and tasty. You can have an aperitif or a drink in the café right next to the main house, which is a cause little country house. We'll go back again and again.

I have tried to book a table for my girlfriend's birthday beginning of September the first time in late July 2017 because I have read that the 'Alexandra' might be something special. Unfortunately nobody answered to my email-inquiry so I tried again using the contact form at the website two weeks later. Again nothing happened, not even an automatic response. I decided to make a call two times afterwards but no one answered the phone. So we just went there on the day for which I tried to book the table and when we arrived a service staff member asked us for our reservation. Good girl, I would really like to show the reservation, but when nobody responds to any kind of inquiry, how can I do??? In the end the restaurant owner came by and also asked for what the problem is, and when I told him, he just said 'oh, when it is busy here sometimes, I cannot answer the phone'. Really??? Is this the kind of service a Michelin rated restaurant offers? No response, no callback - not even an apology or an alternate way of giving us the possibility to stay for dinner at that night. I have never before written a recommendation here at TripAdvisor, but this bad behavior was worth it taking ten minutes of my time to place it here. Thank you Alexandra, for more or less nothing. Btw.: We went to Saskia's restaurant afterwards and had a great dinner there! Thumbs up for this.
