Peking Chinese and American Restaurant

Our recent visit to Peking found some very pleasant improvements to the atmosphere of the restaurant. The changes are enhancing the bar and restaurant areas. Great job !!!! The bar area is noticably improved. New furniture and design changes improve upon what is already there. The room in back of the bar area also improved with lounging tables and chairs. Very elegant throughout. Great for couples or groups to enjoy a good cocktail/beer in a very relaxed beautiful setting. The food of course is still great.

Mandarin Chinese Restaurant

This place has some of the best Asian food I've had anywhere, outside of cities like Seattle that have a large Asian population. I can't say enough positive about it. It was my first visit and there was only one other person with me, so I only had the opportunity to try two different dishes plus an appetizer -- everything was excellent. I can't remember the name of the sauce on the scallops, but they were totally amazing, unlike anything I've had before, and I'm not ordinarily a huge fan of seafood in Asian food. If you're anywhere near this restaurant.............go!!!

This is a relatively new Panda Express. The building is beautiful and well maintained. The service is fast and efficient, although the line can get a bit long during peak periods, much like any other popular restaurant. The food is well worth the wait!

The noodles and donuts and stuff like that are really good, but definitely try the desserts, because those are especially good. The ice cream is good too, but someone in my family says it’s fake ice cream and calls it ice milk. Also, you can find out which animal year you were born, for example, I was born in the year of the dog.

Honestly, I would never have thought of putting a place like Hi Restaurant where it’s located in Downtown Wausau, but I’m glad SOMEONE decided to put it there. While some folks have knocked this place because “the decor is outdated”, these folks would probably give their 86-year-old Grandmother’s house 2 stars because “the service was slow”. The Staff is friendly, the place is clean, and the food...oh, the food! We had an order of crab rangoon for an appetizer (resist the urge to order a double batch...), my Bride had the Curry Chicken & I had the Coconut Chicken. Both were delicious, both were HUGE portions, and the entire meal/dining was enough to bring us back. Go here, show up hungry!NOTE: Bar Service is limited to beer & wine, but hey, it’s a Chinese Restaurant with a bar, not a Bar that serves Chinese food.
