Although driven past twice a day for years, never tried this place until last night...but after many a friends recommendations thought it time to give this Chinese a go. Considering it's been around for so many years was pretty impressed with the décor..nicest inside of a Chinese I've been to in a long time (and I like Chinese food!)Service was great, and worked smoothly even though fairly busy for a Thursday night both sitdown and takeaway. But sadly from there the review goes down hill...The menu I was given looked like someone had eaten the corner of the pages! They all looked a little tired and great need of reprinting.The entrée ordered to share was BBQ pork...didn't look very appetizing, but tasted divine, wish we'd bought one each and not to share...especially as the mains were practically inedible. The duck in plum sauce, well that was pure deep fried batter with a small amount of sauce poured over, and it left a really odd taste in my mouth - was it mouldy? but whatever that odd taste was - where was the duck?! Not sure peeling away the batter would have left anything apart from more batter. At least I didn't actually get sick from whatever the odd taste was. Then there was the special fried rice, a mound of it, but so unappetizing in look and taste, made us wonder whether it was a week old too. And Finally the drunken chicken...never tried this dish before so was looking forward to something new. Tasted exactly like a chicken cashew without the cashew to me, although the mushrooms seemed to have a slight flavour to them, some redemption I guess...and I did like the "bowl" it was presented in.Possibly just a bad night and we were unlucky on our choices...but sadly I will not be rushing back to this one$6 corkage, but it is licenceed too

We have dined here many times and have had takeaway with extended family members. This time was a spur of the moment, late dinner. We found the Fried Rice was sadly very bland, was not completely mixed (clumps of white rice) and had hard to find amounts of egg and chicken, but there were a few peas. The lemon chicken looked delicious but tasted more buttery than lemony. The Satay King Prawns were tasty but the serving size seemed small.We chose not to take home the left over rice.

Very friendly Staff. Unbelievably fast service ( maybe because we were at early sitting and only two tables filled at that time). Food was sensational AND served on hot plates and even the individual personal bowls were heated! BYO only but bottle shop adjacent. Very attentive staff even though busy with phone take away orders. Highly recommended!

On a quiet mid week early evening we had to wait and wait for any food. Starters - spring rolls and dumplings were freshly cooked but nothing special, neither was the dish of chicken noodles. The speciality slow cooked beef brisket was very good but tiny portion. My order of orange chicken came highly battered and sweet but the grandchildren loved them as they thought they were chicken nuggets. Not worth a special trip.

Fantastic service and friendly faces great you as you walk in the door. I have always loved their Chicken and Sweetcorn Soup with a lovely egg drop throughout. I often pair this with a serving of fried vegetarian spring rolls which come with a delicious sweet dipping sauce. If I am a little hungrier I will always get the steamed dim sims (or as we refer to them in the office as "brains" as they do look a little like brains). Always generous portions and even our person in the office with hollow legs can usually get 2 meals out of the Kwai Teo box they usually buy.Working in Midland we (office girls) usually visit once a fortnight as we always know it is going to be a tasty treat.

Easy to park. Service efficient and quick. Waitresses pleasant and polite.Alcohol prices reasonable and choice adequate.Chicken parmigiana as good as you get,salad tasty and fresh.The cafe would have scored higher if the steak sandwich was even average. There is nothing worse than a gristly piece of steak with a thick layer of fat on one side . Most people would pay an extra dollar if they did not throw away 25% of the "meat".DON'T ORDER STEAK SANDWICH
