Happened upon this restaurant as we were riding through and decided to give it a try. We're so very glad we did. The vegetable egg rolls were piping hot. And the orange chicken and shrimp fried rice were exceptional. The service was also very good. Definitely a place worth visiting.

We visited the China Star for the first time for dinner tonight and were extremely disappointed. The restaurant smelled so yummy when we walked in and I was actually expecting a hidden gem. We ordered chicken fried rice and the special, which was Mongolian beef. I also ordered crab Rangoon and wontons. The chicken fried rice was literally regular white rice (not jasmine or sticky rice) that had been fried, or potentially just warmed in the pan with the chicken, which was undercooked. There was not a single vegetable in the dish and I could have counted the egg pieces on one hand. My Mongolian beef was actually chicken - there's no way it was beef. The crab Rangoon were inexpensive which was nice, but did not have real crab - not real unusual, I guess. The wontons were pretty good, I only wish they served them steamed. The gentleman at the counter was kind, patient, and friendly. But, the food did not make up for that. We won't be back.

We couldn't tell that they had any business during our trip. The parking lot was bare and the signs on the windows were outdated. Are they still open?
