We tasted several very good wines. There is ample seating both inside and outside in the tasting area. Additionally, there is a banquet area upstairs that can service 250-300 people. Lake Ahquabi State Park

I spent a 4-day camping trip here and enjoyed it very much. The campground is nice, but small, and some sites are pretty close. Amount of shade varies and it's best to reserve a spot ahead of time, although there are some walk-up sites, too. The small lake has a no-wake policy, but is good for fishing and slower water sports. The concessionaire at the sand beach rents canoes, paddleboats, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards. There are several picnic areas and rentable shelters. The trail around the lake is a little over 4 miles long and unpaved, and there are other hiking trails as well.

It's tucked away but well worth the visit! Beautiful scenery overlooking the vineyard and pond. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff that make it really fun. We've been to several Midwest wineries but this is our favorite so far! A great selection of table and cooking wines. My favorite is the Honey Blackberry wine made from honeybees right on site!

Thanks for the great time!!

We had been to the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta last fall so this pales by comparison. Albuquerque attracts about 500 balloonists, this “mass ascension” may have launched 50 balloons. But there was a pleasant. “county fair” feel with lots of families in lawn chairs watching things from afar. In Albuquerque we were able to walk among the balloons, talk to the crews as they inflated. No food is allowed in, but there were food booths for those craving a corn dog and such. At $5/person for the evening event, it was a pleasant diversion.

This was my first visit to this winery in May2015. They have some very nice, smooth wines. And my phone was out of range and this location is right on 92, perfect placement, I had no problem finding! The owners were very nice and welcoming, despite it being busy, with a high school grad party coming in for the reception site. Wonderful place! And nice to have wines that are primarily IOWA GROWN!
