Reviews on Brew Pub food in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States. The comforts of a friendly, small-town atmosphere combined with the pleasures of big city life make Grand Rapids an ideal choice for a fun getaway with a host of indoor and outdoor activities. Once known as the furniture capital of the world, the city has a reinvigorated downtown area and a thriving arts and cultural community. Its most popular attraction is the museum dedicated to native son Gerald R. Ford, 38th U.S. President, where interactive exhibits take you to the White House and the 1976 Republican National Convention. Wander through the state's largest tropical conservatory at the Frederik Meijer Gardens, a magical wonderland of gardens, woodlands and over 100 bronze statues by famous artists, including the 24-foot bronze horse designed by Leonardo da Vinci. More outdoor fun is a half-hour away at the sandy beaches of Lake Michigan. Golf lovers have plenty of places to hit the greens since Grand Rapids has more privately owned, daily-fee, public courses than any other U.S. city. Wind up your busy weekend with a cold beer at the Hair of the Frog Brewery or the Grand Rapids Brewing Company.

The Green Well

At The Green Well, we’re dishing up something better: different food and beverage offerings, a different standard of service and quality, and a higher expectation of what dining out should be. Don’t just settle for “just fine.” We’re more than just “meh.”

I ate dinner tonight at a place called The Green Well…it was the BEST!!!!!! Great ambiance and a very cool place to eat and drink!!! My server was also the bartender and his name was Josh and he was the very BEST!!! He knew all the foods and drinks and had a super personality!!! He should be in charge of this place!!!! He was really that good and attentive and nice!!! I had a few drinks and Josh gave me tastes of some of the drinks I was considering!!! He also talked me into the Pork Schnitzel which was one of the best meals I have ever consumed!!!! WOW…..this place and Josh were the best!!! Parking was easy on the street and there was quite a crowd!!!! I can see why!!! Food was so super and the place was so cool!!!! I also had a peach cobbler with ice cream and it was very good too….not the best I have ever had….but very good….however, the Pork Schnitzel was one of the best dishes ever!!!!! Try it!!!! And please ask for Josh to be your ser ver!!!!!!Hey there, Gary! Thanks so much for grabbing dinner with us this weekend and taking the time to write this AWESOME review. Located in an old funeral chapel, this brewery has a soulful vibe with stained glass windows and high arches. The bartender offered us a couple of samples to taste. The Coconut Love Shadow was amazing - not too sweet, just a hint of coconut, but still a rich dessert in a glass.

Fabulous anniversary dinner with my husband. Read many reviews and totally lived up to the experience. The lamb chops and hanger steak were both excellent, but the wild mushroom bruschetta was EXCELLENT. My husband and I both loved it. Also enjoyed the Restaurant being within walking distance to the hotel. Hello, thank you for the stellar review! We are thrilled you enjoyed your visit to Judson's Steakhouse, and your dishes turned out exactly how you wanted. We hope to see you back at Judson's soon!

Atwater Brewery in GR

I have been here with friends and colleagues a few times. Each time, the beer selection has been extensive, bordering on overwhelming. The service is efficient. The food is OK with a focus on new takes of traditional pub grub. The high ceilings and cold sterile atmosphere combined with the very loud ambient noise level are disincentives to return. Thanks for the review Henry. We have updated our food menu. We appreciate the feedback.
