Only opened for 2 weeks, we took the opportunity to visit this location. Located in a now defunct BBQ place, these folks are not a chain but a family business out of Tyler. Upon a co-workers recommendation, we got the brisket and pork ribs. WOW! is all I can say. For me....some of the best ribs I have ever tasted. The tangy pork ribs sauce was the perfect compliment On the side) with a slight kid to the dry rub. Add to that....the meat almost falls off the bone its so tender. The brisket was succulent, moist and just the right amount of fat...nothing dry or "cardboardy" here. The potato salad was different in that it had the consistency of mash potatoes (which I rather enjoyed) but no large lumps of potato. While the joint is still trying to determine how much to cook, there is a likelihood that they might be out of something but I suspect patience might be the best approach (at least for another month or so.) Well worth the stop!

I couldn't resist temptation for another minute, and even on this frigidly cold day I drove out to Tomball from Cypress to check out the yellow food truck parked off 249 and 3 Lakes (next to Chevron). All the rumors are true!!! The "Black Garlic" burger is pricey - but worth it. Yes, it's huge and hypothetically, you could split it with someone, but I promise you'll want it all to yourself. Fries are big, too - so share those if you must. There's no seating, so plan on taking yours home or eating in the car. They take cash or card, and it's close to $20 for a burger and fries - which seems like a lot until you take your first bite. Sooooo tasty! I can't wait to go back and try some other menu items, although it will be hard to pass up the burger. Black Garlic rocks!

The sides are rave worthy, with perfectly fried okra, creamy coleslaw, buttery mashed potatoes with house made gravy and tender well seasoned beans. As for the meat....while I wont comment on the brisket, the ribs and sausage were stellar. Fall off the bone ribs, generous with the dry rub and you can chose to have them dipped in sauce or not...a winner either way. The sausage was juicy and slightly peppery with a snap as you bit through the casing, delicious in every way. Kids are happy here too, with options such as chicken tenders and mac-n-cheese. Yum!

Heard breakfast was amazing here. Sadly not my experience. How do you mess up bacon and eggs? By undercooking them. I was served runny eggs, barely cooked bacon and soggy, barely cooked hash browns with biscuits which had apparently been there sincerely they opened. Very dissatisfied.Kendra, sorry to hear about your experience. We will definitely address this with our staff. Our breakfast is normally very tasty. We hope you'll come back sometime and try it again!- Harry, Owner

Still great! Ted has sold his place after many years- actually he had to reclaim it several years ago and has sold it again. The food remains very good and consistent ( although my strawberry salad could have used a few more strawberries.) Please support this local gem.
