This is a tiny little place in the heart of downtown but it packs a huge punch to your taste buds with the ribs and all the sides. There are several sauces to choose from and all are delicious, the ribs fall off the bone and the staff are friendly and helpful!

This is an excellent brewery! For locals, there is a lot of history and the views of the Kentucky River are very nice! I started with a flight of beers and was pleasantly surprised by both the quality and variety offered. I recommend this! We ordered burgers and a kale salad. Both were excellent and so good we came back again for the same thing! The service was excellent and we had polite, helpful and attentive waitresses both times. The atmosphere is like a sports bar within an historic but modern setting. The lighthearted humor with signs in the bathroom was a nice touch. With football season approaching, this should be a favorite. I will be back again, and again!)

The opening of Cookout has been much anticipated in Frankfort and so far it hasn't disappointed for a fast food restaurant. My family has braved the crowds a few times since opening in mid-July. Each time I've gotten something different. Cookout specializes in burgers, hot dogs, barbecue, and milkshakes with assorted other items. The food tends to taste a bit more like you cooked it on a grill at home instead of standard fast food fare.Being new in town, it is packed with people inside and in drive-thru at almost any hour of the day. Currently, they even have employees outside directing traffic with the number of vehicles pouring in. The food is worth the wait, though. The service is quick once you are able to order. The value for the quality of food you get is great. I was also a bit overwhelmed with the number of choices I had when I ordered the first time. They have a small base menu that can be customized so many different ways. Customization is key. If you can deal with a crowd, this is about the best fast food in Frankfort.
