Invercargill (Māori: Waihōpai) is the southernmost and westernmost city in New Zealand, and one of the southernmost cities in the world. It is the commercial centre of the Southland region. Delicious burgers, very large and if you go on Tuesday or Thursday, selected burgers are $10. I also had the bread and curry dip. Bread was a bit too salty, but a great feed at a reasonable price. Nice premises also at the Invercargill branch.

Staying on a campsite near Invercargill we were recommended The Foundry as a good local restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. What a lucky find! Very well served and entertained by âBertâ with excellent food and wine. And they even provided transport to and fro. Highly recommended. If weâre ever in the vicinity again weâll certainly be back. Many thanks.

We just came for dinner and were very happy with our meal. Heaps of variety,salads, roast Vegas and tender roast pork and beef and ham. Deserts were also plentiful and varied, cheesecake, trifle, sticky date pudding, ice creams and more.The price was reasonable also.

Great value and excellent menu. This is a delightful restaurant that is family owned and operated. Nice cosy bar area and good table seating. Very popular so would suggest making reservations. The daily special is great. Selections of beef, lamb, pork, fish with generous portions. Owners Graham and Glenise are very welcoming. I've been here before and was looking forward to my second visit. I was not disappointed. For both nights, the food was excellent and the service faultless, even with trainee staff. Good to see that the wine list included low-alcohol wines. Lunch out for three... ordered a variety to share, chicken pizza, wedges, onion rings, Turkish bread with hummus. Enjoyed the food though the bread seemed a bit underdone and cold. Overall good service but would suggest the waitress should have waited until we were all finished eating before clearing plates from under our noses.

Popped in for lunch on a weekday with a couple of work colleagues. We all ordered the $10 lunch special which was chicken schnitzel, salad and fries. We were all pretty happy with our meal, nicely cooked and the gravy was a nice surprise. The only let down was the time it took for our meals to come out. Having a 1 hour lunch break we had to rush to eat our food which isnt very enjoyable. Overall would recommend if you have time to spare.

The warm inviting ambiance was obvious from the time I walked through the doors. The open fire added the ambiance on a cold wet night. This large venue offers upstairs and downstairs seating. The service was quick and attentive and the generous sized meal was great. Nice night thank you.
