We have a lovely warm and inviting restaurant. We use all locally sourced product with very generous servings with an emphasis on the meat portion of the meal. Our steaks are 250gms up to the "Donald Trump Choker", which is 500gm and cooked slowly over 20

We arrived on a rainy Friday night to find the restaurant crowded and a real buzz. Luckily the car park at the rear has a good capacity and you can enter by a rear door. Staff were friendly and we were soon seated, even without a reservation. The menu is quirAky being inside a newspaper, but fun. Many options but we started with the Buff oysters which were plump and fresh but lacking a bit of sea saltiness. However our mains of the Farmers Lamb Duo and the confit Duck were of high standard. Meal sizes are such that you will not leave hungry! Our dessert of upside down cheesecake was a bit to soft and creamy although tasty. We tried an Otago Pinot Noir which was good quality and finished with coffee, We would return.

I've been here before and was looking forward to my second visit. I was not disappointed. For both nights, the food was excellent and the service faultless, even with trainee staff. Good to see that the wine list included low-alcohol wines. Got a good reasonably price meal, service was very good and food good value. Lots of family around and kids parties, so probably not the spot for a romantic dinner.Thanks for the review K1ngsGld. Absolutely outstanding I believe this is true of almost everyone who calls New Zealand Home, warm, kind friendly people. What a club this is if you are fortunate enough to be invited as a guest as I was. Free Hot Chocolate, lovely people chilling, beer, snacks. I would say world class without any hesitation. With the positive reviews of other readers we ventured to TJ's this week and were very pleased with the clean cafe and friendly service. We ordered the Hawaiian burger special and chips - only to be very disappointed in the burgers. The buns were burnt and the filling only average. I specifically asked if it was spicy and told no but the relish contained pepper and chili. No way were they better than Burger Fuel- plenty to eat and the fries were good, not oily.
