We stopped here for a mid afternoon break. Great wine suggestion, nice tea selection and a delicious dessert. Every inside table was occupied and a few outside ones, the welcoming waitress handled everything and every table with aplomb. Lounge has a very nice ambience. Highly recommend.

Breakfast buffet was tiny but considering the price of 15.-, fairly priced. Didn't expect much so wasn't disappointed. Window table with lake view is a plus.

After completing the circuit Centovalli train to Domodossola, train to Stresa, lunch and a long nostalgia walk around the town and the boat back to Locarno, this was a good stop for an aperitivo and light dinner. Staff were friendly and the salads very tasty. As we were in Switzerland it was a nice surprise to be served some nibbles with the spritz. Great for people watching as it is on Piazza Grande. Recommend.

Il Negromante is located in Locarno's most ancient dwelling (dating from the 14th century). A beautiful and very special terrace where you can sit in summer leads to the indoor part, which is not as traditional, but still nice (pub style). They often have live music: the gigs are attended by a friendly local crowd. Otherwise - like tonight - it's pretty quiet, and you can enjoy some really good homemade burgers. The beer selection is also very good.

This is one of the few true bars on the front in Ascona. We like to sit up the stairs on the sofa at the top of the Verandah, in the shade. The drink are good, the ice cream oustanding and the peoiple watching perfect. There is even a pool table for them what wants.Buongiorno Alwyn42,thank you for your kind review.
