A charming old style cafe nestled in an antique / op shop environment. The big breakfast should have been name ‘huge’. I have never had scrambled eggs so fluffy. Loads of bacon and mushroom, a full tomato, sausage on your choice of bread. Coffee was a little bitter but acceptable. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a good value breakfast.

18 months since I last visited. Very busy the first morning I walked past and busy again the next morning when i stopped.$18 for the Eggs Atlantic. Side of mushrooms (can?) were average in taste, salmon was on the side and there was very little spinach and served on a very thin piece of toast. It was fine but could have been so much better. Coffee was decent.

Dropped in for dinner last night, and very pleasantly surprised by excellent seafood dishes. Seafood platter was good mix of fish, prawns, calamari, scollops, chips and salad. A big meal, nicely presented and tasty, and struggled eat it all. Spouse had calamari and just as good. Service was excellent, but bistro was busy and took a while to get our meal. Quite reasonable prices, but cheaper for members (and you save your membership cost with 2 meals and a couple of drinks!!)

On a cold and windy night in Lakes Entrance, this provided perfect shelter from the storm on AFL Grand Final Eve.Interesting beers on tap, led into a yummy Bistro meal for all the family.Very busy night, but we got our order in early so the kids meals came out quickly, and ours came not long after. The Parpadelle and beef ribs were both very tasty, and the kids were satisfied also.Wine list prices were very reasonable, and not too much more than retail prices. All staff were very helpful in particular the Bistro Manager (or supervisor) who made sure we got a table even after we made our booking late.Sorry I didn’t catch your name.

Visited this evening and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The servings were large and the meals presented beautifully. It was wonderful that the salad on the plate was not an afterthought or decoration but was thoughtfully presented and very tasty. The fish was cooked perfectly and we enjoyed all aspects of our meal. Staff were attentive and friendly. Special mention to Leonie who handled a particularly difficult customer with courtesy and diffused the situation. She was explicit with the customer about what was going to be served so there could be no further misunderstandings. Extremely professional and an asset to the business.

Beautiful location with a laidback vibe, the Waterwheel is one of our faves. We had a great meal - highly recommend the Vegetarian Green Curry, delicious, and the service was fantastic. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and accommodating, especially when one of our children fell over outside. The renovations have opened up the space and it looks great. A special thanks to the lovely staff that picked us up and dropped us off in the pub bus to our accommodation in Lakes.

This is a must do if you want something different. Book your table through the winery. You leave from the main jetty for a 40 minute ride on a boat seeing many interesting things along the way with the captain giving a running commentary. Your picked up at the winery in an old bus which is half the fun & taking to the doorway entrance. Upon arrival you are tempted with an array of wine tastings for free. You also receive a free glass of the wine you choose & then you pay from there. The meals were excellent & a good choose of sweets. The service was great from a lovely young lady & those that served was equally attentive. Thoroughly recommend a visit here. The return journey back to the pickup point was just as good after a great feed & quite a few drinks were had by all. Cost for 2 people is upwards of $110 but good value.
