A table for 8 on a Sunday night and I think we were the only ones there. Ordered the Veal Scaloppini from the "Specials" menu and was disappointed, Meat was tough, thickly sliced and partially cooked. Vegetables were bland . The rest of the meals were generous in portion size but no one at the table was impressed. Prices were on the high side and service was slow.

From the moment we walked in to this cute little cafe we felt so welcomed. Janine who I believe is the owner was so very welcoming and could see we were travelers from out of the country from our accents of course. She then offered us a table and told us to come back to the counter once we were ready to order, take our time and enjoy our stay. When I went to order our breakfast the conversation was like being part of the family. She asked questions about our day, travels and several about my daughter. Our meal was lovely, hot, and followed with great service. As we were leaving she was so kind and sent my daughter off with a meat pie for her to enjoy later. What a great welcome to the area.

Good variety of meals to choose from including a seniors meal. All the usual pub favourites. Chips delish! Wines affordable. A place you can sit and linger over a meal with friends. Spacious. Parking 2 hour limit unless you are prepared to walk a little way. Bacchus Marsh only hour or so out if Melbourne and a delightful Valley town to visit. Pick your own fruit or buy roadside. A great day out.

Best food in town. The gnocchi is to die for, as are the burgers.... service is quick and knowledgeable

Friendly staff. Delicious caramel and almond slice with one of the most amazing coffees. Extra froth - without even asking asked for extra hot and it was! Lovely smaller cups. This place was perfect. Sat outside and watched the world go by amongst the plants - a restful stop on our holiday trip. Will definitely be back when in Bacchus Marsh and will also be recommending this lovely little establishment to friends and family.

It was my first time there, but everyone else knew each other and seemed to be regulars. They did not even have to order. I was impressed with the range of items and the special attention paid to providing vegetarian and gluten free options. I just had a Devonshire Tea and my scone was large and came with fresh cream and jam. It was delicious. There are a number of separate spaces: on street, outside in garden at rear, inside at front, and inside at rear, so it is possible to get some privacy if you want.

My family has been going here for years, and the quality and quantity are always excellent, with good value prices, and pretty regularly a little extra added. They are spot on with their estimates for phone orders. Try the scallops - they are amazing.

Good all round fare was exactly what was on offer at Back to Bacchus. The menu isn't overly imaginative but was ok and the Thursday night my group of 12 was there, the restaurant was popular. As we were a group, the negotiated fixed price covered any two courses on the menu, main and dessert. The addition of a heated private room made for privacy to conduct business which was an added bonus. To answer earlier criticisms, there were also plenty of wait staff on hand.
