They have great hush-puppies, chicken livers are good, catfish is not the best I've ever had, but it is good. The servers are very sweet and accommodating. The benches could really use an update - no padding... choose a table instead of booth.

The most uncaring group of people I have ever met. We asked for a table, low top, they said they would need to have one cleaned for us. Once taken to our table the chairs were wet, mine with a standing puddle! Mentioned it to the lady and was met with unconcern. No apologies, no offer to correct. We were made to feel very unwanted. We walked out and have no intention of patronizing a Loganâs roadhouse restaurant again. We are sorry to hear about your experience, and we will be looking into this for you. There is nothing but awesomeness at this deli! Locally owned and operated by some of the best people on the planet who happens to know how to cook homestyle goodness! They have an impressive menu and everything is made fresh. If you're visiting the downtown square in Athens, AL, be sure to stop by and get your southern hospitality & food fix for the day. We placed a dinner order to go on our way home, into Huntsville with 3 of us ordering. One ordered the grilled Lemon Chicken and the other two split the 2 for $20 sirloin steaks with sides. Everything was ready and well-packaged when we got there. The service was fast and friendly. The food was very good when we got him after a quick reheat.

Okay, seriously. Whitt's BBQ is the best barbecue! When those from Athens have moved out of town and come back to visit, they load up on Whitts to take back with them. No joke. Their sweet tea is truly 'southern' sweet tea, their barbecue is tender and a fabulous flavor, and the service and prices is top notch to cap it all off! If you're going to be in or driving through Athens, AL, be sure to grab a plate. You will not be disappointed!

o's Grille used to be the site of Lawler's Barbecue. We took it over, named it after the owner's baby "Caroline Ro" and have been serving people the best home cookin' in town ever since.

This is a must stop when in Athens. Lunch menu is very reasonable! 7-8 dollars includes drink and wonderful service. Try the fish and chips. Fantastic! By the way, the BLT is good too!

Dub's has good burgers, but they are not your typical big homemade burger cooked on a flat top grill. The meat mixture is uniquely Dub's...with bread in the mix. So it's good but different. Worth a try. Customer service at the counter was good small town Alabama friendly. Nothing fancy but my kind of dive.

We had dinner at Cracker Barrel in Athens. They never seem to disappoint. I actually got the French Toast meal, with a side of bacon, and coffee. Our server kept up with our requests and continued to fill our coffee and check on us. Our food was fresh and as always, tasty. Good meal with good friends at a good price.

We were in Athens for the day, and the 306 was recommended. We went with a friend, and were not disappointed. I got the pulled pork plate, with baked beans, potato salad and a roll. Everything was fresh and tasted very good. Free refills on the drinks made for an enjoyable stay. Staff was friendly ad helpul. We felt it was a good deal.
