Domaine de La TORTINIERE is a charming Chateau Hotel in the heart of the Loire Valley, in a 15 acres Parc overlooking the Indre River near the Village of Montbazon. Wonderful place with charm and Luxury ideal for a visit of the Loire valley Castle (between Azay le Rideau and Chenonceau, children loves it, warm welcome), nice service and delicious restaurant. At your disposal on the spot: billiards, outside swimming-pool, tennis court, ping-pong table, massage room and sauna.
Beautiful chateau
Reviewed By 55ChrispyA beautiful chateau conveniently located a short distance from the autoroute. We were lucky enough to have our room upgraded, it was spacious and well presented with a tiny balcony overlooking the grounds down to the Indre. The grounds are extensive and you can walk down through the woods to the river where the hotel keeps a small boat which you can use if you feel inclined. Staff were friendly and efficient. The restaurant has 2 menus, one for fine dining and a bistro menu. Likewise there are 2 options for breakfast, full or simple. All are served in the same restaurant below the chateau. We opted for the fine dining menu which was very pleasant. We did feel the décor of the restaurant did not live up to the splendour of the chateau. All in all, a calm and relaxing retreat in the heart of the Loire.

Perfect overnight stop
Reviewed By AngieandJamie2015We stayed here to break a long journey to the South of France. Our anticipated arrival time was delayed due to traffic and ferry delay, so we rang ahead. Patrick took our call, and was very helpful, making arrangements for our late arrival. On arrival everything was smooth. Our keys and helpful instructions had been left for us. Our room was clean, well maintained and perfect for what we needed. In the morning the breakfast was really good. Plenty of choice and all fresh and well presented. The car park is secured overnight, which was another great point. The staff, Patrick in particular was very helpful. We would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone looking for a stop over.

Elegant castle hotel with spa located south of Tours, Loire Valley. The white stones of the majestic Artigny Castle, the dream Belle Epoque castle of Francois Coty, the famous perfumer, may be seen from a distance as they rise above the Indre Valley. Twenty-five hectares of park containing a French garden, marble statues, woodwork and "trompe l'oeil" painting.

Reviewed By 923JustinGFirst impression was wow! well it ended there. Yes the château is lovely looking and is in an amazing setting. The staff were friendly and polite. The rooms are tired don’t think any love has gone into them since the 70s. The garden areas also not sleek when your paying 5 star prices! We ate in the dinning room one of the 2 nights and were ignored for about 45 mins before we got asked for anything! Finally we got served the food was ok like wedding food! The wine list good. But seriously Burn marks in wall paper, peeling paint in toilet, cigarette in gutters list of mini bar items but nothing in the fridge! I could go on ! also the price on other platforms are so much cheaper ( our last night $277 on bookings.com ) l try to book direct to support hotels so they don’t pay huge commissions. We normally pay anything between $350 - 700 a night this was not a 5 star experience. Desperately needing some TLC

Beautiful, simple stay on the outskirts of Montbazon

Our kind host didn't speak a lot of english but we did fine as he was happy to repeat something when we didn't quite undertand him. The room was quite comfortable and he does have a pool and spa if you want. The breakfast is a bounty of local goods and he even allowed us to take a bag to go! Great stay.

The most fabulous eating experience
Reviewed By angelacA2832YRA group of seven of us booked here for an evening meal, on recommendation from a couple of fellow guests from our hotel. After driving through the high, wrought iron gates and down a short gravel driveway, we were immediately impressed by the homely atmosphere and lovely garden environment within. After parking up close by and entering the small and cosy restaurant, we were warmly welcomed by the staff who showed us to our table on a delightful terrace, right beside the river Indre. Everything was beautifully presented, including the table setting, lighting ambiance and the friendly, immaculate staff who conducted a most professional service. The delicious set menu was french cuisine at it's finest and cooked to perfection. After the meal, the chef came out to chat with guests which we thought was a lovely added touch. We enjoyed our evening so much that before we left, we booked another meal for later in the week!
